Talking 100% old school skunk #1 RKS

I probably got everyone excited here but they should be. If Shantibaba digs this one out like I heard that he in fact is than all of the cannabis world will be running out to get their hands on this. This is what made the diesels, dogs, and og's. Someone out there must still have the original Road Kill Skunk lime green #1 that made me throw up back in the day please lets turn over some rocks people..

I started a thread on RKS. Its called Roadkill Skunk Watch 2007. No one gave a shit about it. Got 2 replies. If you check it out, it gives my perspective on RKS. I always bought it off of Rednecks. It comes from Tennesee and Kentucky. It gets moved around, primarily during deer season. It will start to filter down to people who are connected. Around Christmas. Two weeks before (about now) and about a month after the new year. It is still alive and doing well. People will start talking about it in late March, and early April. Wishing they had some. They will be bitching about being dry. Europe dosent have any skunks. They dont know what a skunk smells like. The european "skunks" have a fruity smell to them. Not at all like the "skunk" smell as Americans know it. All us East coasters miss those lime green, golf ball sized stink nuggets.

P.S. Please save this post. and re-read it in April or May.

Shanti has never stated he was working on releasing RKS. He alluded to having some skunk lines that may become available soon but still needed alot of work. RKS was never mentioned. Please do your homework before you post threads of this nature. It could be RKS, it could be another skunk line. But speculation has been running rampant, and Im not sure who started the rumor.

So not to beat around the bush...there are two skunk old school lines in work, it does not mean it is ready, they're two different things. What I can do is get a few inter-generations out to you if you are so keen but it needs alot of selection work each generation if nothing ****s up is 3 months...so do the maths. Need to get 4-6 lines in each specific strain before testing, but I never do them one after another like that, as I have to use one male at a time so not to cross...blah, blah , blah...anyhow not making any excuses just trying to explain it is all well and good to want some old things ...but going through seed takes time and space...and it aint as easy as it was some years ago. Patients is a real virtue one I have and Cannabis is pretty fast in relation to other plants cycles. If things come out and go as they are going I can only offer inter-generation work for the near future. Wish I had it all ready for you all and me...but life is full of those situations that one cannot predict. Take it easy and as soon as there is something or I find some old breeding stock from the dungeons...I will post it on the main forum here, I promise.Take care and hope in the meantime you don't drive over a skunk but find something close to help you in your travels/work.SB

the 1st stuff i encountered (when i was about 13) called skunk smelled foul, not sweet and fruity at all... it was a vicious assault on the nostrils...piss, earthy burning tyres rotted corpse funk..... The sweet euro skujnks has nothing to do with not having skunks in europe so not knowing what a skunk smell is, sam deliberatly bred it away from that all pervading stink when a lot of growers were getting busted coz the stench was going thru bick walls... Sam brought the genetics with him, and those things are out there...its just the old school dudes who have em are just growing and smoking em, not involved in any supply circles.

Well maybe the skunk you get comes from Kentucky or Tennesee, but The Skunk was created on the west coast, by Sam The Skunkman, who now lives in A'dam, so for you to say that Europe doesnt have any real skunks is completely wrong, since the man who created the skunk and still breeds it lives in europe. Now you are right Sam has said more then once he went more toward the sweat skunk not the roadkill skunk, but he does say he still has seeds from the roadkill side and since he is in europe then that would mean so are the seeds. Some of the first pot I ever smokes was some of the foulest smelling skunk I have ever seen. It was like having a dead skunks ass in you pocket when you had a sack of this stuff, that was in 81-82, somewhere around there. That shit is still around out here in the PNW, just drive around in the country anytime during the summer and you can catch it on the breeze all the time.

Same as Harry when I was around 13 maybe 14 the skunk I got was straight skunk not sweet not anything but dead ass skunk I dont think it will be around any time soon because the demand is so high sam or someone in the know thats still holding on to it most likely would have released it because lets face it the world revolves around money and we all would line up and pay.

There were varietys called Skunk way before Sam developed Sk#1. The RKS is nothing more than an Afghani characteristic. Anyone who has grown marijuana is fully aware most of the varietys have a skunk esk smell. Some more than others. It doesnt take a genius to call something that smells to hell and high heaven like a skunk a skunk.

Sam may very well have developed Sk#1, but to pretend he was the first to coin the term skunk for marijuana is ludicrous.

Why would someone who states he has the rks in seed form not want to make some seeds for the fiends and rks fans?
Also I agree with trinity in the fact that alot of MJ has a skunk smell. Some more than others. Chocolate Trip was one that after a good dry would pass for a nasty ass skunk. Bubba kush has an intense skunk smell when into the 70 days of flower, Purple chaos is a real stinker, let alone some sour bubble pheno's and the always stinky berkely. The skunks are out there and most of them arent named skunk......Oh another really really stinky clone is the Jackie-o. It makes all the skunk#1's I've tried seem mildly skunky. I've never had the pleasure of something called skunk actually remind me of skunk like those forementioned clones. Seems unusual but it's true.
