Its to stop ppl from turbo posting to read their private msg's or get into chat..it used to happen all the time, this was the only way admin could curtail that, hope that explains that for ya

As a former member of overgrow, and an active member of the shroomery I think 5 minutes between posts is a bit much. One per minute is more reasonable. I guess I'll lurk more than anything...

Agreed this sucks, as well as the 50 post minimum and 10 post per 24hrs, I understand they may have a fear of bots but I'm on a few other sites and have never seen this problem. I recieved a PM when I arrived here and am still in the process of getting my 50 min. so I can access it ?!! It's quite frustrating, and has turned me off an otherwise good site. I've been doing a cut and paste welcome in the intro thread to build my post numbers??? I don't think this is what the admin wanted but I'm a bit peeved and I feel they have turned me into what they are trying to avoid ...a post bot.!? ..... Well here's 46 PS. see you in 5

Yeah, my vote says that it's a P.I.T.A.......For me to post 50 remotely valuable posts in order to read my PMs is pretty crappy, and is gonna take more time than I have atm
