Masterlow Lighting Question - Danzig if your out there...
Hello all here I am knew to posting in this forum but am not new to the forum community. I have been lurking in these forums for some time now and have decided to become more assertive.
One major decision is about to be made and I need to know what to do. I will be building a grow box specifically for my auto flowering Masterlow seeds and doing a complete seed run. Then I will have plenty of seeds for the next outdoor season as well as a flowering run in the AF box. I was going to run a 250 watt hps due to the size of the box and heat issues. But I realized that this will only put out close to 30,000 lumens. That got me thinking... Im now planning on using T5HO 8-Bulb Fluorescent Unit. This puts out a whopping 40,000 lumens and practically no heat and will be able to be kept real close to the plants for maximum exposure to bud sites. What are your thoughts on this? I am also curious as to what M Danzig would have to say about this knowing that he said he prefers a HPS. I am open to all of your thoughts and questions. I look forward to hearing your opinions and hopefully you all will help me come to my final conclusion. Best wishes, ~DnkNuggs~ Last edited by DnkNuggs; 12-04-2007 at 12:26 AM.. |

Dude, you seriously need to stop posting this same shit every 10 mins. Either be patient, or find the answer for yourself! (Which I know is possible because I read that information before, just don't remember the specifics. Do a search.)

Try to be a little bit more tolerant with him Killuminatti, he's new to posting in this forum. DnkNuggs, if you ask a question, please give people a chance to reply before asking again. Welcome to the forum, I hope that you enjoy it here buddy.

Go hps all the way. I pulled around 140 grams off four girls in my veg closet With a digital 600. I only used a corner of the closet. If you are just doing a seed run though you can easily work with the floros. I am all about the most hardest hitting light in the area you have. Here are some ML EnF

Remember a horitcultural HPS bulb will have a 2100k color temp. and that flowering floro's have a color temp of 2700k. Plants like a central source of light also. HPS is cheaper, and I just think I has better penetration. Plus I have a half-baked theory that HPS heats resin glands, so the resin gland can expand while it's making THC and all those other good things. Go with HPS! It won't create a ton of heat, nothing that you can't deal with.
