Hello friends! American here!

No, I didnt vote for Bush. (got that out of the way!)

I may have an opportunity to move to Alicante for 7-9 months. This will not be happening till late August, early september, but I am trying to plan ahead as best I can.

I have heard many wonderful things about Alicante in particular, and even more about Spain as a country. Im really looking forward to this opportunity, but i wanted an insiders perspective. . .

What is the city like, the people, the food, night life, art scene, museums, and of course, the herb. =) Ive heard that it has a lot to offer because of its student population, but once again, this is all heresay; so im looking for someone to speak with experience =)

Anyhow, I appreciate any help!

I'm from a town near to Alicante and I studied there so I know mor or less the live in Alicante, some places where are a lot of parties...

thanks for getting back to me my friend! I am truly looking forward to spending some time in Spain. I love the culture, love the people, and absolutely love the food, open air markets, etc. etc. Im really looking forward to it! =)

Anyhow, hopefully we can stay in touch and enjoy a nice smoke at some point next year =)

Rastamonunika I am of alicante, here's everything, mountain, sea, field, beach, girls, party, and others.

As has lunch, goes through tabarca and calls you a cauldron, in the interior of the province can eat good gazpacho, gacha crumbs or faseures, cooking Alicante is quite extensive, but the most important thing is to know which restaurant to go, tourism has increasingly invaded and give more gato por liebre.

In August are the feasts of callosa where this museum hemp and hence one day they were used as demonstrations, cut all utensils and make demonstrations in the streets.

In novelda this museum modernist's house pichocha, is free to visit and very pretty, you also Castle and the mola without a site, if you do not come missing sites and places to visit.

If you switch a few months by aki, please send a private.

For the language not worry, look for some fellow who knows.

rastamonunika yo soy de alicante, aqui hay de todo, montaña, mar, campo, playa, chicas, fiesta y demás.

En cuanto ha la comida, pasa por tabarca y pide te un caldero, en el interior de la provincia podrás comer unos buenos gazpacho, gacha miga o faseures, la cocina alicantina es muy amplia, pero lo mas importante es saber a que restaurante ir, el turismo nos ha invadido y cada vez dan mas gato por liebre.

En Agosto están las fiestas de callosa en donde esta el museo del cáñamo y ahí un día que hacen demostraciones de como se utilizaban, sacan todos los utensilios y hacen demostraciones en la calle.

En novelda esta el museo modernista la casa de la pichocha, es gratis visitarlo y muy bonito, tienes tambien el castillo de la mola y así un sin de sitios, si decides venir no te faltaran sitios y lugares que visitar.

Si pasas unos meses por aki, no dudes en mandar un privado.

Por el idioma no te preocupes, buscaremos algun compañero que sepa.
