Poll: Photo of the Month - September 2007 - Cannabis Flower Photos - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Hi everyone, selections for POTM finalists are getting more difficult to decide upon...basically it's because the nominations (although could have been awesome shots) have major flaws which keep them from reaching the high bar we've set for POTM finalists. Many pics (which otherwise would have been a contender) have faults such as:

1. Improper white balance
2. Out of focus (either completely or in spotty areas of pic)
3. Background cluttered or with objects that detract from subject
4. Bad lighting (too little to show detail or too much and washes pic out - Over or under exposed)
5. Maladjusted aperture settings (depth of field)
6. Predatory bug damage does not make a good subject
7. Improper use of digital filter settings

Would like to urge all who are nominating pics to keep the above mentioned in mind, and look for those killer shots, there's plenty on the site and sadly many do not receive a nomination.

Let's keep the POTM truly representative of the best of the best shots each month!
