north lake tahoe
Anybody have experience living in North Lake Tahoe? I'd be moving there for the great snow and as a little side benefit is its in Cali so I could potentially benefit from some laws if I established residency.
I wouldn't be making the move out this season, as housing prices are at their peak. When I went on craigslist to check the job and housing market, it seemed that there are quite a few tokers out there, if only seasonal. |

Never lived there but I can tell you the down side is traffic and people, lots and lots.

Yea, I moved to Lake Tahoe (west shore) from San Francisco in November and could not be happier. The housing costs are a lot less then in SF, I got a nice 3 bedroom house for $1300 (fully furnished). The skiing is great, but hate it here on the weekends and holidays as all the tourists come up then and gets really busy, but the rest of the time it is not busy at all. I ski just about everyday, except Saturday and Sunday, and often feel I am the only one on the mountain, but come weekend there are long lift lines and crazy crowds – the benefit of living here full time.
Anyone else here give me a shout and hook up to take a Ganjola ride high in the mountains. |
