Do you remember if you read this online or on hard copy (i.e. magazine) and the date (approx. year) ?

To be honest I can't see a reason for using light when drying as it known to degrade the active psychoactive ingredients...but if it is true , ..and it does help in some way as far as the actual potency is concerned I suppose it would have to do something with light working as a 'helper' to maintain certain levels of a substance static.(Just thinking loud here)But I have absolutely no clue .. and just assume things here.

there's a whole two pages harvest guide by Shantibaba on the latest issue of italian magazine Dolce Vita and i'm sure it doesn't mention anything like this..

Like most said it doesn't make sence to use light when drying..

BTW It would be great if someone that has this issue could upload a photo/scan of the article.I m sure lots of people would be interested to read it.

ok people i read this info like a couple of months ago and im pretty sure i read this online.ive checked all shantis posts on this site and its not here and ive checked mybooks and mags to no avail.i also know it wasnt on the mrnice site either because i visited it yesterday for the first time.

i think well have to wait for shanti to get back from aisa and see if what i read was infact written by him, worst ways he'll say im mistaken.but i am sure if it wasnt shanti it was by a respected breeder as i wouldnt go posting stuff just from a random post i saw on some canna site by some random grower.

rest assured if find this info before shanti return i'll let you know and if it wasnt posted by shanti ill let you know also and ill let yous know which breeder it was.

I can't imagine this being a good idea, and highly doubt Shanti said that

I would like to hear about it too.....

The drying and curing of a cannabis flower will absolutely make-or-break the smoking experience.....an improperly cured bud will not effectively liberate the THC from the trichome heads, so it doesn't matter which genetics you used, you still won't get as high.....

We all know that light, heat and oxygen are the enemies of THC.....THC is degraded by these factors, so when drying buds should be hung on clothesline type of strings in a dark place at 70-75 degrees F and put lots of oscillating fans in the room......if the humidity builds up too high, open the door and allow the moisture to evaporate out of the room (or use a dehumidifier).....

Good idea to put a thread together all about drying and curing....

kind regards from a guineapig
