Re-Vegging a flowered plant
What's the best way to bring back a plant that's gonna finish flowering soon back to a vegging state to get a clone? Can you cut off most of the buds? I know it takes awhile to bring back, I have never done this, but have read about it. Has anyone been successful at this? Thanks for any help.

It is very simple. Havest as normal just leave a few popcorn buds (the smaller the better). Remove the plant from the pot and trim back the roots. Re pot the rootball in fresh soil and put the plant on a vegetative light cycle. I use 24/0. Be sure not to over water. The plant has no leaves so it wont need much water. Dont feed it until it reveges.

yeah pretty easy. unfortunately it doesn't always work though.
make sure you leave enough growth that the plant doesn't die. sometimes if you cut too much the plant will just die. just make sure all flower nutes are eaten out of the soil. and give it light vegetive feed a few weeks in. I've had them start reveggin in as little as a week. I've also lose some of the best pot I've ever smoked to failed reveg's.

You don't know when you're going to go. So don't take this shit serious now. You better have some fun and plenty of it. Because when the shit is over and you ask for a refund its too late. its not too hard bro, just leave the lower buds and whatever leaves you can and put it under continuous light. you should start to see signs of revegging in a week or so. what are you trying to reveg?

Thanks everyone, i'm gonna try to reveg a special looking and smelling Tres Dawg plant. This one really stands out in early tricrome production, vigor, and smell. Looks like the Chem but only better. I'll try to get some pics up soon.

Leave a few popcorn buds at the bottom, put it back under veg lighting, and the rest will take care of itself...

yep - very easy to do.... Don't feed it until it looks like it needs it. I just finished cloning a flowering plant (4wks into flower).
It'll work - just place the plant into a vegetative enviroment. I've had the best results with plants with the smallest buds - those light green popcorn buds at the bottom seem to sprout new growth first. Good luck bro! |

I'd also add to make sure there isnt to much air movement to dry the remaining buds out as they revert..I've been able to reveg the same plant 3 times in some cases..there has been a special plant along the way to not make it so nothing is fail proof but great luck is had most the time..best of luck

What type of light intensity have you guys used when revegging... I have a bubblegum plant under a 600 watt hps in flower that i'd like to reveg. My veg box has about 90 watts of CFL. Does having a less intense veg light help or speed up the reveg in any way?
