I made this thread in hope of bringing to attention great clear-headed sativa strains without the extreme/radical flower time (12+ weeks) !!!
Therefore hopefully most thumbs could grow these...

i personally like the highland mexicans, though they can be 12-14 weekers depending. i did a highland oaxacan gold that was done right at 12 and it was the best smoke ive ever had, hands down.

there are several nigerians as well as nepalese that flower quickly. i have three field selections from the highlands of nepal im going to inbreed here soon, i'll let ya know how they fare.

I dont try to offend you guys in any way, but the thread starter was talking about landrace sativas. I know HS has landrace genetics in it, but it´s a hybrid....

+ Thread starter was talking about head high sativas, which really keep the high in head. I have heard that the HS will produce strong buzz, but after the high layes a little, it changes into fully couhlock, right guys?

What I would success you is this Peruvian landrace sativa Rojó (Eng. transl. red)

A friend trekked in the mighty mountains of Peru and collected these high altitude mountain sativa beans that locals were simply calling Rojó. Another friend growed it indoors with quite good success! I dont have pics of growing plant, but I have pics of cured Rojó nuggets!!

BTW, smoking right after harvet made you feel that you were smoking ditchweed, but after a good 1½ -3 month cure the effect has changed dramatically as potency too!! It did produce incredible intense high which was all in the head & temples and under eye´s This high was a rollercoaster which last for hours.

No offense taken Herbalistic. I was thinking the I was in the ultimate sativa thread. My bad.
I know I did use the word "buzz" in my description but I used it incorrectly. The HS is definitely a high, and not a buzz. I found the high to be like riding huge rolling waves while causing fits of hilarity.
As far as come down is concerned, the phenos I grew did not produce a couchlock effect.

Man, that's gonna be real hard to find. I know all too well, haha

Mexican Verde Limon is only 8-10 weeks, but it's not available commercially.
And that's the real problem, what's actually available or what you can get your hands on. There's a few though, Ethiopian Highland, Black Maconde, some Swazi lines. Actually most are african now I think about it, haha

Sorry I couldn't be much a help, if this search doesn't turn out well you could always grow a hybrid of pure sativas (sativa x sativa), like Destroyer, Bangi Haze, etc, that will finish in under 12 weeks

OH, Tiki seeds has a strain called "Bambata" that is supposed to be a blend of pure sativa lines from Namibia, not exactly a landrace, but it's supposed to be a blend of pure Namibian landraces anyway, and it's only about 8-9 weeks

Federation - Hawaiian Sativa
The Hawaiian Sativa is a pure sativa origininating from the big Island of Mauna Kea. It's been bred and stabilized for more than 15 years on Vancouver Island. Sugary with crystal, it has a very destinctive citrus odour and menthol flavour that tingles the taste buds and tickles the brain. Tall vigorous growth with few branches, classic cactus shape. Extreme elongation in the first two weeks of flowering with tufts of long thin hairs developing into long sticky spear buds which thicken up after the sixth or seventh week. The lemon flavor intensifies when flushed for a long time (3 weeks) with straight water. Very energetic and up high, great to smoke during the day for an active lifestyle.
Height 8 feet
Flowering time 10-12 wks.
Yield 8 oz full size, 3/4oz in a 2 gal pot.
Harvest outdoor Nov 1 to forever.

I actually had 4 plants outside this year, my 2 remaining plants outside are just past half way in the bud stage, these 2 are almost 100% sativa, they are f1's of Malawi Gold x Santa Marta Columbian Gold, sent to me by a member at another site...I made me a few f2's for the future & done picked them from the pods, i smoked a broken imature bud acouple weeks ago & the potency was already crazy potent, i figure they will probably go till late November.
Hopefully i'll be able to get some maturing pics of em or at least get to harvest these 2 late season bitches.

RMS? Reeferman doing FSC's "Hawaiian Sativa" now?

FSC from what I can tell at least, ain't exactly reputable as far as their lineage/origins go. Another breeder with a tall tale about their strains, but what's new really?

CTS aint no damn landrace like claimed. Is it good? Man, hell yeah. Would I reccomend someone else try it? Yessir! Hell if you breed the more extreme sativa pheno and just weed out the less dominant part-indica pheno, you might actually be able to pass it off as pure.

But it ain't pure, and I heard neither is the "Hawaiian Sativa", although it's also supposed to be real good as well. I was actually gonna try the HS until I heard it was real couchlocky

I just did a report on Mekong Haze, not sure if its a landrace or not, I have the Nigerian Nightmare we call it Sweet Nightmare not sure if its been crossed , grows very scraggly but puts off nice nugs, smells like juicy fruit bubblegum.

edit , here is some pics the nightmare - this one runs about 70 days total, if you push her longer she looses some taste.
