I have only one plant going, currently flowering outdoors sort of far from my house (got to go through lots of woods, etc) in the middle of like a little clearing in the woods. I have seen some signs of people around, that looked old, and there are no houses nearby but some if you walk through a bunch of stuff. Lots of trails, and i assume they are mostly trafficked by deer, but maybe an occasional human.

Anyways, my plant was there 2 days ago, and when i checked on it today, it was gone. I was pretty pissed, and then when i was about to leave i noticed that on the south side of some trees, about 15-20 feet away from where i had left it, was the plant in its pot.

So apparently they didnt destroy it or attempt to, just sort of concealed it a bit, moved it to the side, which i should have done anyways.

Im wondering what to do.
Should i move it to a new place in my property (pretty big, just dont want parents to know), or perhaps stakeout my plant in camo and find out who it is?

Or maybe leave some type of note, to determine if they are peaceful and wont jack my plant?
I really dont know what to do, any ideas?

I would not stake out the plot to find out who did it. That will probably be more trouble than its worth and possibly cause you to get caught or hurt. I would definately move the plant to a new, safer location though. It would probably be better that your parents find it rather than the cops or some rippers.

There's no way to know for sure. The facts are, your plant is safe, and you're safe, but you're pretty sure your security has been breached. This time of year, isn't it ready to come down anyhow? I seriously doubt anyone's going to take the time to stake it out and bust you over ONE plant, a cop would have probably just cut it down and taken it to smoke or left it there dead to mess with you.

You should take it to a remote area since it aint cool to grow on your parents property without their knowledge. Especially since its already been found, they could be leaving it so when the po-po comes they find it where the person who concealed it put it.

Well i went to the spot in camo and got there really carefully, took the pot and as i was leaving i heard a voice kind of close- like he was talking really loud, but it sounded sort of faint, and i just busted out of there. I also heard a dog or 2 that sounded like they were with him, but im pretty sure it was a local since i doubt a cop would go through such lengths for a single plant that is less than 2 feet tall, unless they were looking for more, in which case they will be dissapointed.

Its currently hidden pretty well in some really tall grass around sunflowers, you cant see it unless your literally on top of it.
It still gets good light, and there might be a chance of my parent's finding it, but i doubt it, and other people are basically out of the question. From the spot where the plant was, there were trails going everywhere and side trails and such, due to deer, so i think i'm safe.

I drove around my neighborhood a few times and didnt see any cops or anything, although some of the driveways go far back and you can't really see.

I did something that was probably stupid, where the plant had gotten moved to by someone, i left a small white sheet of paper with a question mark on it, definately visible. In about a week or so i plan to go back, definately wont be someone staking me out, to grab my hidden thing of fertilizer and see if there was a response.

I'll keep ya'll updated if anything goes down.

dude don't go looking to find out who moved your plant. the odds are if you find them they will figure out it was your plant, if they already don't know it was you. if it was cops or professional rippers then they won't waste there time searching for your one plant. if it was your parents that found the plant then your better off if they don't know it was yours.

A ripper is NOT going to move it 20 feet. LEO is not going to touch it if trying to catch you.

Someone probably saw it, and said hey lets help buddy out

but sounds like u live in a small town, so its def best not to find out who did it.. or make sure he doesnt figure out who u are. cuz word spreads fast.
