Yeah, so I made a run to the grow shop to pick up some clone gel. It was a last minute thing so I had to take my own car. As I'm leaving I notice a large Ford 4X4 pickup behind me at a light. I make a mental note and start driving towards home.

Go about 10 mins up the highway and get off on my exit. I notice that the truck gets off on the same exit, so I go the opposite direction from my home. I take a few random turns to see if he follows. He does and I'm 100% sure he's tailing me.

I turn into a neighborhood I know only has two exits and pull over on the side of the road to let him go past me. He keeps going and once he's out of sight I count to ten and go in the same direction he did, hoping he'll double back and I can get a good look at his face. He must have made a pretty quick u turn cause after a couple blocks he is coming back towards me. As he passes me I get a decent look -- white dude, sideburns, sunglasses and he's driving with his hand kinda over his mouth to try and cover his face. He doesn't look back at me.

Anyway, I keep going and make it out the back of the neighborhood and take the LOOOOONG way home, constantly keeping my eyes peeled for anyone tailing me. No one does so I head home and now I'm kinda paranoid. I'll never be going to that store again.

Luckily my car is registered to an old address where I haven't been for over a year and a half, but I have re-register it this month with my current address so no peace of mind there.

I don't know, I'm only on my first grow running six plants for personal use and I'm considering just scrapping it all for a month or two until I get my confidence back. I grow kitchen herbs and scotch bonnet peppers hydroponically so I'd have an alibi for the equipment if I do get raided. Would have to stash my seeds, the Cervantes book and my grow journal though, as well as scrub my computer.

Tough decisions, tough decisions...

sounds like a cop or maybe even a ripper.
im not sure if you really need to tear down.. but safety first.. especially if your in a state w/ tough mj laws.

the book and your grow kit are perfectly legal, it's the seeds, plants and dried bud you have to worry about. the fact that you bought stuff from a hydro store shouldn't be enough to get a warrent. if you decide to keep growing than you need to be absolutly certain about your odor control and any other tell tales . if it was a cop following you he is probably pissed of that you made him and the fact that you spotted him might make him think that you were a professional grower on the lookout for cops. if it was a narc it won't take him long to cross reference your cars license through the various data bases and find out were you live currently.

thats ****ing gay shit man....i dont know what i would do in your situation...if it is a cop like said above it wont be long until he finds out where you live thru your vehicle...man i wish i could come up with somthing good to tell ya...good luck man, i dont know what i would do if my grow was compromised so badly...
Hey this might sound dumb or risky to alot of you but if you end up being followed by this same **** head again you should really try to pull to the side and flag him down and ask him why the **** he is following you....

If that shit happened to me and I had my cellphone I'd have the Sheriffs dept on his ass with the quickness.Its more likely a thief than a cop and if he's undercover,you just embarrassed his ass good.You arent acting innocent when you come from a legitimate place of business,you are innocent.

the problem with calling the sherrif and telling him that someone followed you home from the growshop is that your telling the sherrif you shop at a grow shop and you are nervous enough about it to be checking your mirrors to see if your being followed. it doesn't matter how many hydroponic tomatoe plants you got growing in your backyard, the sherrif is going to think your growing weed and is going to start sniffing around your house looking for an easy bust.

Thankfully the average grow ripper doesn't have enough brain cells to think about staking out grow shop users or there'd be a lot more of this kind of thing going on. Seems like we're under attack from from all sides - doesn't anybody actually do an honest days work anymore (I actually consider growing to be honest work!).

there is "honest" work and there is "legal" work and they are not often the same thing. look at all the oil industry lobbyist working in Washington D.C. what they do may be legal but it sure as hell isn't honest.

I wouldn't use that shop again - but I would call them and let 'em know someone is following their clients. Use a payphone.
