Cloning soloutions in bubble cloners?
Hi, i am just wondering ppl, does it make any difference when using a small bubble cloner, to use a cloning soloution in the water or dilute some clonex in2 it? Or would it cause more problems (although i cant think what?) I am just wonderin this because i need to clone a flowering female, i desperately want to keep this plant in clone form, and i am going to use the bubble cloner on them, should i add the clonex, or buy something, or should i just use water? thanks.

Any1 else? The reason i ask is it took about 4 weeks to root in this last time, so would some clonex diluted in the water speed it up some?? Any1 done this?

Water takes a bit longer, but works well.
If you insist on using the Clonex dip the cut once and it will dissipate in the water. I wouldn't add any to the water itself. |

Hi noel, nice to meet another uk grower, u say 10 days tops, well it took 4 weeks last time m8, in the same cloner, i do it in 2 with soil/perlite mix and clonex, i only got the bubbl cloner out because i am trying to root at least 1 clone from a plant i have flowering, they were taken 4 and a half weeks in2 flower, so i thought the bubbler might be the best bet. I am eventually going to build an aero-cloner coz taking 25 cuttings and doing the whole pin pricking, and clonex dip, is a lot of work, lol(im naturally quite lazy)

i use just water. i used to use roottech on my stems but found that it along with the water being to hot 80°+ has to do with stem mush
the reason you roots are taking so long is do to the water being to cold. under 70° i find that 73-78 are best for a water temp. i do use a lil b-1 (superthrive) i pull root's in 3-7 day strain has a lot to do with it. allso if its was taken off a flowering plant it might take a lil longer. sum do sum dont. heres a silverhaze 4 days from cutting you will see 2 clones one with roots one with out. i still dont know why. they both where cut the same day. from same plant around the same place.
