colossal big bud is great. expensive? 5ml per 1l of water foliar spray. that means 200 uses per 1L bottle. you spray it 3x a week, 52 weeks per year. thats like 1 1/2 years for $90. check ebay for better pricing.
the moderators of the AN forums said to mix the cbb (5ml) with scorpion juice (5ml) with 1l of water for one of the best foliar combos around. the active ingredient in cbb is nitrogen. scorp helps fight insects, disease, etc. i use it along with a week/biweekly spray of b52 and piranha. i haven't tried any other line of foliar nutes because AN gave me wonderful results. |

2. There is nothing else like it on the market; it is a complete nutrient blend plus naturally sourced biostimulants mixed with natural chelators and surfactants.
3. Delivers both reduced nitrogen (amino acids) and reduced carbon (carbohydrates.) 4. Colossal Bud Blast can be used during vegetative and floral growth phases. It can be used all season long to increase storage of vegetative reserves and into the blooming phase to bolster that growth period. . 5. Colossal Bud Blast contains humic acid as an organic chelator and surfactant 6. Formulated for foliar feeding programs, but still potent and effective when applied to the rootzone of your gardens. Colossal Bud Blast - Frequently Asked Questions Q. Can I mix different products with CBB as a foliar? We reccomend that you alternate different foliar products on different days. Each foliar product has a specific profile, designed to be delivered in a diluted solution of ph\'ed water, and nothing else. Q. What other products can I foliar when using CBB on alternate days? Colossal Bud Blast - Growing Tips When applying a foliar spray DO NOT SPRAY dircetly at lights that are on. If applying a foliar spary turn most lights out or use a separate light source during the spraying of Colossal Bud Blast. The most effective time to foliarly feed plants is at dawn; when the day starts stomata(pores) on leaves open and plants are under little or no stress. This is the best time to foliarly feed outdoor crops. Foliarly feeding during the heat of the day is not recommended as stomata will have closed, and nutrient uptake is not maximal. Also during the heat of the day foliarly applied droplets dry out very quickly; this can lead to a rapid increase in the salinity of the applied foliar spray that might damage leaves (brown spots). Apply Colossal bud blast to both the top and bottom surfaces of leaves for maximal uptake of nutrients. Colossal Bud Blast - Technical Description The Benefits of Using Colossal Bud Blast Advanced Nutrients Colossal Bud Blast is a complex foliar supplement intended for intensifying growth of plant tissues. Applying Colossal Bud Blast as a regular foliar spray will accelerate each moment of growth while bolstering vegetative stores for later use in blooming. Colossal Bud Blast is so effective because it is made from a concentrated base-tea extracted from seaweed meal, alfalfa meal, krill meal, high-phosphate bat guano and azomite. This base-tea constitutes over 50% of the formula used to make Colossal Bud Blast. To the primary base-tea mix in Colossal Bud Blast we add a soluble source of all 22 L-amino acids. These amino acids are the building blocks of growth for all stages of plant development. These materials are then mixed with Humic acid; humates also carry growth-promoting qualities, but are included to act as a chelators, surfactants, and to increase cellular uptake of all ingredients in Colossal Bud Blast. Colossal Bud Blast will charge plant cell growth within hours, basically immediately after application as humates open up cellular uptake pathways for cytokinins to act. Frequent use of colossal Bud Blast enhances vegetative storage of proteins and carbohydrates, and by virtue of three other different ingredients, Colossal Bud Blast induces a state of continuous systemic resistance in all plant tissue. The complex recipe we follow to make Colossal Bud Blast is designed for promoting the immense growth effort that the blooming phase entails for plants, especially annual species which commit all their reserves to floral, fruit and seed production. Starting your garden on a regular foliar feeding regimen with Colossal Bud Blast sends the flowering and fruiting stage into an explosive finale. Use Colossal Bud Blast To Promote all growth, especially the last dash of Floral Growth: Colossal Bud Blast can be used from the beginning of the vegetative phase until the third week of a blooming cycle. Every time Colossal Bud Blast is applied foliarly, it charges plant growth with phenomenally complex mixture of growth promoters, growth-precursors, and immunity enhancing ingredients. All these ingredients in Colossal Bud Blast are naturally derived. If an optimal period of vegetative growth has preceded the blooming phase, then there should be no lack of vigour to commit to the final stages of growth; but the raw resources of reduced nitrogen and carbon may not be stored in plant tissues at maximum capacity. Applying Colossal Bud Blast foliarly will deliver more raw resources for growth and for vegetative stores. Colossal Bud Blast will enhance the reserves of amino acids and carbohydrates in the roots and leaves; these are the storehouses that are drawn from until empty when plants commit their life cycles to reproduction. The stores of carbohydrate (starch) and storage-protein built up during each application of Colossal Bud Blast, are eventually committed to the task of growing and setting flowers, buds and fruit. Once the phytohormonal ingredients in Colossal Bud Blast have accelerated cell division and expansion, the humates will continue to enhance cellular uptake. Humates act as molecular conveyors helping make all the nutrients in colossal Bud Blast available intra cellularly. This potent blend of nutrients and growth promoters can be used from as a foliar spray all growing-season long until the third week of flowering. But the final dash of growth to the finish line is a process that will literally consume the very last essence of an annual plants energy reserves; every last drop of resources is dedicated to growing flowers for reproduction. Colossal Bud Blast applied regularly during the vegetative phase all the way through until the initial 3 weeks of flowering, will charge up your plants so they start their last dash loaded with an explosion of uninhibited, floral growth. Any foliar spray that runs-off the shoots and lands on your gardens soil will also be nourishing to roots and beneficial soil microbes. Colossal Bud Blast has reduced nitrogen in the form of bat guano-derived-urea and amino acids, plus carbohydrates that will nourish mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria if you also apply it to the rhizosphere during regular fertigation. The Ingredients in Colossal Bud Blast: Colossal Bud Blast Has Naturally Sourced Phytohormones and Amino Acids. The seaweed-derived phytohormones in Colossal Bud Blast will accelerate cell division and promote differentiation of plant tissues into branching points for flowers. This phytohormonal input consisting of cytokinins and auxins is backed up by the charge essential building blocks for growth (L-amino acids) that we have added to promote protein synthesis. The extracts of Krill use to make the organic base of colossal bud blast deliver complex carbohydrates and an additional spectrum of animal-derived amino acids. This natural source of building blocks for growth also delivers a red carotenoid pigment called astaxanthin that can assist in developing a range of colourations in plants and animals. Colossal Bud Blast Contains Humic Acid. Advanced Nutrients has combined a specific amount of humic acid as a main constituent of Colossal Bud Blast. This enables the combination of nutrients and growth promoters in Colossal Bud Blast to become immediately transported into plant cells. The Humic acid molecules in Colossal Bud Blast act as chelating wicks for the amino acids, sugars and seaweed extracted phytohormones; humates draw them into plant cells. Humic acid is a substance made up of huge and complex organic molecules which form molecular blankets that enfold and wrap around the all the rest of the and nutrients in Colossal Bud Blast. By folding into cell membranes, and by dangling through them like a nutrient-absorptive wicks, humic acid molecules pull all nutrients into the cell. Colossal Bud Blast Delivers Naturally Sourced Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium, Secondary Nutrients and all Micronutrients. When using Colossal Bud Blast the grower is adding naturally sourced nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur and calcium, magnesium and a full complement of micronutrients to your plants. These primary and secondary nutrients are contained in the organic base tea that constitutes 50% of Colossal Bud Blasts volume. For the micronutrient source in Colossal Bud Blast, Advanced Nutrients selected a unique source of Azomite to use; this is a potent natural source of micronutrients. Azomite is a powdered pink clay mined from certain parts of North America; the name is an acronym for A-to-Z-Of-Minerals-Including-Trace-Elements. In formulating Colossal Bud Blast, Advanced Nutrients has used a very potent and immediately usable form of reduced nitrogen. Colossal Bud Blast fed to plants foliarly includes an amount urea (NH2)2-C=O derived from the high-phosphorus bat guano used to make the organic base tea. Foliarly applied urea assists floral development and can even induce it, as proven by Agri-scientists (see below). As it is combined in Colossal Bud Blasts humic acid based formulation, urea is immediately being fed to the plant when applied foliarly. Each single molecule of urea in Colossal Bud Blast will provide two molecules of reduced nitrogen as it gradually hydrolyses to NH3 and CO2, upon contact with plants surfaces. Colossal Bud Blast Primes Plants with Systemic Resistance. During each foliar application of Colossal Bud Blast the grower will also be priming their plants immune system. This is because Advanced Nutrients has included a proprietary formulation of salicylic acid in the recipe for Colossal Bud Blast. Salicylic Acid is a compound synthesized by all plants that acts as a potent signal of the plant immune system that will prime it for response to any pathogen that approaches the garden. This inmmune response is called systemic resistance. Additionally, our use of krill extract to formulate Colossal Bud Blast provides your plants with a source of chitin; this is another potent elicitor of systemic resistance in plants. Chitin is a long chain of carbohydrates that plants recognize as invading fungi or even insects since chitin is a part of the cell wall of fungi, and the exoskeleton of chewing insects. To further ensure that plants foliarly fed with Colossal Bud Blast are induced with systemic resistance, we have added pure chitosan to the final formulation of this rich foliar supplement. Chitosan is a break-down product of chitin, where the chain of carbohydrates are broken into individual sugars called N-Acetyl-glucosamine. When they come in contact with plant cells, salicylic acid, chitin and chitosan create an on signal in the alarm that triggers the cascade of immune reactions that lead to systemic resistance. Systemic resistance involves the biosynthesis of immunity proteins called pathogenesis related proteins, discussed below. Treating your garden with Colossal Bud Blast primes you gardens immunity every time you foliarly feed with it. How The Ingredients in Colossal Bud Blast Work: Along with the growth promoters, Colossal Bud Blast ensures plant cells are bathed in a rich broth of naturally sourced nutrients, assisted by humates in their uptake. Below we will explore in more detail how each one works by expanding on each category of special ingredient citing scientific studies involving these. The Phytohormonal Ingredients of Colossal Bud Blast. The formulation of Colossal Bud Blast is designed to have immediate growth enhancing effects; when foliarly applying Colossal Bud Blast all building blocks for growth are delivered within a supporting matrix of humic acid extract to promote cellular absorption and utilization. The two ingredients in Colossal Bud Blast that promote plant growth or that contain phytohormones are humic acid and seaweed extract. Applying either of these separately has immensely positive effects on plant growth, but in Colossal Bud Blast these are combined. Humates will assist in spreading the nutrient inputs of Colossal Bud Blast to all plant cells, and bring the mixture of seaweed derived phytohormones and nutrients together for every cell they contact. Humates are elaborated upon in great detail on the technical description pages of our web site for the product called Grandma Enggys H1 Humic Acid; the interested reader is referred there for more information of Humates. Here instead we will focus on the value of seaweed extract used to make colossal Bud Blast. The seaweed extract in Colossal Bud Blast is derived from the algae called Ascophyllum nodosum which grows in the cold north Atlantic oceans. The liquid extract from this vigorous growing and highly stress resistant plant contains the myriad of phytohormones that drive the rapid and resilient growth of Ascophyllum; once processed for horticultural applications this extract contains concentrated cytokinins and auxins. North Atlantic nations such as Ireland have utilized the abundance of this sea-plant in agricultural practices for centuries. At the National University of Ireland (NUI) in Galway the use of liquid seaweed extracts on food crops has been studied extensively, and at NUI we can find much information published about this agronomically valuable resource. For example, from the online journal. The Seaweed Site we find this summary; A wide range of beneficial effects have been reported from the use of liquid seaweed extracts (Blunden 1977), including increased crop yields, resistance of plants to frost, increased uptake of inorganic constituents from the soil, more resistance to stress conditions, and reductions in storage losses of fruit. Liquid seaweed extracts are used at very high dilution rates which results in only very small quantities of material being applied to a given area. The active substances in the seaweed extracts must therefore be capable of having an effect at a low concentration. Trace elements have been suggested as likely active constituents, but Blunden (1977) and Blunden & Gordon (1986) have concluded that the quantity of substances applied forms an insignificant proportion of the total requirements of the crops. The presence of plant hormones (substances naturally found in small quantities in plant tissues and involved in, amongst other things, the regulation of growth) has been suggested as being responsible for, at least some of the observed effects; it has been demonstrated that commercially-available seaweed extracts have high levels of cytokinin-like activity. Close correlations between results achieved in field trials with the use of a synthetic cytokinin, kinetin, and seaweed extracts of equivalent cytokinin activities were found both on the yield of potatoes and in the crude protein of grasses. Similar results were obtained with the reduction in the rate of |
