This thread should be interesting so keep posting, I had alot of beef with that article when I read it also.... I'm a big fan of purples, I've grown GDP and it was alot of fun to grow and it was very good to me.

Just to second S4vvy ( I thought the same thing when I read MX posting), that is the exact description of Urkle that I have been told and researched around here. Good Taste low yield.

urk yields like shit for me and doesnt turn purple but the taste is great and the buzz is good. definately an all-day indica smoke, not over-powering by a long shot but i do enjoy it.

finicky fookin plant as well. i know its not a DC, but the finished bud feels and looks so much like a DC bud, it must come from the same lineage at some point.

not much in taste and aroma, and i dont find it to be near as potent as many describe. maybe i just cant grow it for shit. im on my third run with it, plan on seed, i find most clones need a long time to adapt to my grow, maybe cause im underground i dont know.

im willin to give her a few more tries

1. Where did the 3 or 4 versions of OGKush originate???(Abusive,SFV,Origi nal OG,....)
2. Where some of these found amoung S1'sWhat is the general concensus on this question?

3. Also is Purple Indica actually a Kush or another indica type?

Take care.......................... ...............CC
just my thoughts, the older OGK cuts, came from same seed batch. the more recent OGKs are from S1s of the older cuts.

i think the PI is a afghani, not sure of region. said to be a old one, and after what the Doc says about it bein called UV/purps, it would be a old timer.

have had the arcata cut for sometime, prolly the oldest in my spot. imo theres nothin even close in the quality of smoke. the aroma is one of my all time favorites, very dank and pleasin to the beak.

the taste is fantastic, strong all the way through the bowl. its one of the few weeds that the taste and aroma increases as its cured. its rankky dank through and through

i'm currently running the PI and i can attest to it's finicky-ness

out of ten plants in my run....only the PI showed signs of a slight nitrogen overfert with a few leaves getting a tad clawed/canoe shaped
it's now growing like a champ tho ....

.... of all the plants im runnin....bubba , pure/puss , chem d , chem 4 , original diesel and PI , the PI is showing the largest flowers at 2 weeks 12/12....i know that dont mean shit .....just an observation lol

chemdawgD.......now this is what i would consider a overhyped cut. while it is potent, not more then many other cuts, but it is a potent smoke. im on my fourth plant, and its not gettin any better then the first run. i get a sour mowed grassy aroma from it, some cleaner/chem background. kinda like a crappy sativa aroma.

taste for me plain sucks, i dont care for it, its damn near like gettin bug spray in your mouth. and it fookin lingers on the palate, wont go away. not what ya would call a yielder, but does produce decent.

Chemdawg#4......amazin the difference between this cut and the D. i like the way it grows straight up, where the D kinda wants to go sideways. builds a better bud, where the D i find a bit airy. neither builds a hard ass bud.

i find the aroma to be a piney chemical smell, even skunky at times. mellows with a cure. gets in your nasal cavity and almost burns and can cause a few sneezes, make your eyes water some.

taste is kinda citrus/pine, with somethin in there that gives me a scratchy dry feelin in the back of my throat. i really cant feel a diff in stone between it and the D, id say this ones more potent, most likey due to it bein a nicer smoke.

ill keep the 4 for sometime, the D if this last plant is like the others ill drop it.

i agree cbf, i like the #4 a lot more personally. it does have that heavy pine to it. im just about done smoking my first plant of her and its about time to chop another. chem d does seem a bit overhyped to me, its not all much better than a GOOD seedplant.

same feelin here bro, but others are opposite in what they think. doesnt mean either is the better plant, just what a grower prefers.
