My Casey Jones Scrog and clone extravaganza
High Gang. Just wanted to throw some info up of my latest grow of Casey Jones.
I'm growing in a 10x10 room. The scrog screen is 4x 3 feet - 2 inch chicken wire. The girls are under two 400 watt HPS and a small 23 watt Reptisun UVb bulb that I am moving around the screen daily. As an experiment in UVb exposure, I am only keeping the UVb on the left side of the screen to check for differences in potency. I did get 4 different phenos this grow. Upon sprouting the seedlings all looked very different: one very indica dom (ended up a male), one pheno that looked very Thai, 1 very Casey Jones looking pheno, and 2 sativa phenos that didn't look Thai. Did that make any sense? I took 2 clones of each plant and all are doing very well. I'll be making seeds with the male clone and the Thai pheno clone. ok, for some reason I can't post pics maybe next time Last edited by GuyManDude; 09-26-2007 at 09:00 PM.. Reason: added pics |

Morning GMD,
I'll be sticking around for this one. Been following all the Casey Jones thread to see how the cross turned out and I got to say. H3ad family did a AWESOME job. So much great feedback on the grows and it's looking like a monster yielder with everything else to follow. It's going to be nice to see what these plants do in a 100 sqft room. It's going to be one jungle for sure. You might want to keep a close eye on the Thai pheno's. They will take off on you and you might need to train extra or cut back. The mother used in the OE side of Casey Jone. Can get out of control and I would do what I call a double cut. This would keep her low and bush her out more. I really had no choose, since I was growing indoors and making seeds. I'll be sure to show some "OE" Oriental Express pictures once I get going again. I'm going to be growing some Casey once I get going also. I think the cross has so much to offer. Plus, I like the D and it's a plus. Take care and good luck with the grow. Can't wait to see these babies in about 80 days or so. Later, BG |

Thanks everyone for stopping by. I harvested my last Casey grow at 65 days - all trichs were cloudy going amber. incredible smoke i must say. 2 hits and everything in the world was beautiful. I was very content to sit and stare, but my mind was going a mile a minute.
As far as the different phenos go, GoldDustWoman, the more Casey Jones looking pheno is the one that has really taken off. The more sativa phenos are a little slower and smaller, amazingly enough. Grateful H3ad hit the nail with this combination of genetics, that's for sure. I'll be breeding the indica pheno male with the Thai pheno female and we'll see what happens. peace |

Sounds like some killer smoke. Nice to see you got a couple of nice phenos. All nice to hear others making seeds for future grows. Good luck with the seeds. If you never done seeds before. You might want to stager your male and female by two weeks. That's what I do when making seeds. Place your female in 12/12 and then wait about two weeks to place the male in with the female. Gives the female more time to get going, since the males don't take long to form pollen sacks. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. Later, BG |
