Im glad to see you back with Guawi mayan

yep, she's somewhat similar in requeriments to Golden Tiger, but she's easier to grow and less N sensitive, usually talking lot of weight after 6 weeks of flowering and maturing aromas and resins after 10 weeks. Is she from clone or seed ? standard or fem ? Best wishes!

Hi dubi...Grew her from fem seed. Right now she looks to be -at least in my mind- a tropical sativa. Very branchy and small flowers that look like wheat grain. The Panama -popped at the same time- has larger and much more developed flowers - they were both put in 12/12 about 30 days ago. Very exciting to be growing her out.

Hi dubi! A few days/weeks ago, you suggested that I come up with the pack date of the Guawi as you would be able to tell -better- what kind of genetic mix the batch was and might be able to better guide regarding flowering time frames. I checked - the packing date on the gauawi pack is June 16, 2010 (16/6/10). Any further thoughts about make-up of that batch or what to look for in terms of flowering time would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

She's at about 61 days of 12/12. Looking fine. her buds are long and delicate but she's begiinning to pack it on. Pictures soon.

Hi all...looking for some guidance at the current time from folks who have grown out Guawi (or something similar). She has been flowering about 79 days at this point. I was thinking of taking her 14 weeks (if possible) but that's a VERY arbitrary goal based upon very scant information (one person seems to have taken at 90 days - one person seems to have taken at 17 weeks...yikes!!). So I'm wondering what others have done. Shorter? Longer? Any sense of how the characteristics of the "high" may change over the next few weeks? I get the sense from reading others' accounts that a sativa taken at 12 weeks may be very different than one taken at 14. Not having taken any strain this long, I am venturing into unknown territory. I am not so much interested in couch-lock as much as I am in heightened psychoactive, trippy effect - I guess, I'm looking to try to find that "sweet spot" for this strain.

Your thoughts/experiences/opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
