Masterlow Grow

Just put my ten seeds in rapid rooter plugs two days ago and 6 popped up so far. I only soaked em in water for like one hour and just dropped the seeds in the plugs and boom there they were. I will post pics later today.

Ok here goes the picture i took yesterday morning. There are eight that are up now and the other two are rooting theselves to the plug and are about to pop out as well. So that is 100 percent germ rate. The freebies i received also popped out nicely so im now 20/20 seedwise.

ima try to post a pic here at least once a week to let everyone see there progress. Ima grow them in soil indoors under a digital 600 hps. I am gonna use pbp nutrients.

Good germ rates there for sure. We'll stay tuned to this bat channel for those updates.

Hey thanks for stoppin by S a H. Yes i was pleased with the germ raite but what i noticed about the masterlow seeds is that there is like another layer of what i wanna call skin right under the actual seed shell. I had to peal it off of two of em and they seem to be doing alright. The main shells popped off but the lil round leaves were still stuck inside another lil skin sack. Pretty interesting stuff.

Jahkaya is on a distinguished road
I wonder if the extra hard shells are an adaptation to the cold that the ruderalis gene has developed.

Hey Jahkaya I was thinking the same thing and am pretty sure that it is a ruderalis genetic in the seed make up. I have only grown out around a hundred seeds in my life (I ususally go the clone route) and never have i seen seeds so damn hardy.

Had a question about pot sizes. Any input would be greatly appreciated. So far i have seen in other threads that people transplant this usually only once to like a two gallon pot. Is this the best size to put em in or should i put em in a smaller one and then a two gallon when they get a lil bigger?

Just move them once when they sex. Just be careful they are awfully weak and easy to f**k up. I was just thinking I may try and use some peat pots next run on a few instead of plastic cups and see how it goes and no transplanting needs to slow you down. On most strains I think the flowering is the crucial stage but with AF's I think its more in veg so why slow them down any.

Hey S a H thanks for stoppin by once again. So you are saying i should leave them in the rapid rooters for another two weeks or so? There are only two sets of true leaves as of now. I just wanna transplant at the correct time is all. Most people dont really post in there threads when they do transplants except when there plants are rootbound.

I'm about to do my first grow of MasterLow also.

But from my experience with LowRyder2 I can tell you that it is better to start & finish the grow without transplanting them. Start seedlings in the container you'll finish them in. With a 10 week life span why would anyone want to risk shocking/stunting/slowing a plant that has such a short cycle?
In the past even with very careful transplanting I've seen plants stunt for two weeks, that would surely flock up the yield and potency of an AF strain which needs vigor for 10 weeks straight.
