Blue Streak....Almost there

Well, I have fixed the stunting. Now If I can get the nutrients stable.

The first 3 weeks under 65 watt 65k and 75 degrees helped to make this one bigger. I think the 400 watt 4000k halide being 12" away was just too much. Even though the tempertures were no higher than 82, I think She seemed to cringe under it. That or she didn't have enough nitrogen to accomodate all that extra photosynthesis. She seemed to like the 250 watt 6500k halide Much better.

So 24 hours of bluer spectrum light, not as intense, for the first few weeks helps along with cooler temperatures makes for robust plants. 4-6 hours of direct sunlight in scorching heat...does not.

She was fertilized with full strength fish emulsion 5-1-1 and half strength fish emulsion organic bloom blend 2-4-.05. three days ago. I may do one more half strenght fish emulsion with the final bloom fertilzer. I want to seem how much she greens up. The growth it back on its normal hurried pace and the centers are greening up.

I can only hope that the weather outside has cooled enough to help finish the flowering. After a few days acclimating to the sun, she is in as much as I could put her in, about 5 hours of direct light and seems to be happy so far.
It is still hot, but topping out at 89 with humidity instead of 97. There should be a cool front next week to help keep the temperatures down. It finally drops to below 75 at night now. It is so humid I have to watch for bud rot and shake the water off the leaves. I hope these indica genes do well in the heat and humidty.

I think it likes the Fall Sunlight and some rest in the evenings. Growing almost as fast outside under normal daylight hours as she did inside under 24/7. Greening up better, so the Fish Emulsion must have been quite needed. So Many Budsites, I like it. She is just starting to get the trichomes on the newly emerging fan leaves. I can't wait to see how much sugar this one will produce.

The next size up is a five gallon. It is currently in a 2-3 gallon now. I have some new organic mix I could try out and it still has a month to finish. I will pot it up to a five gallon to finish flowering and see how it goes.

I am starting to get really concerned about budrot....not that I have any....knock on wood. The buds are rather dense with a good calyx to leaf ratio and with a constant humidity of 70-90%...I am very watchful. Any suggestions to prevent it?

I shake the dew off every morning and make sure it has enough space. Any other ideas or organic options?

Potted up to a five gallon. The plant was not completely rootbound by any means, but it did have a decent rootball in that 2 gallon pot. Hoping for a growth spurt of buds.

Yeah I think that is a bit of overkill but it should explode in growth with all that space. Wow that RH is high.....

I am actually wanting to agree more and more with Mdanzig about the super Large pot size for these genes. The plants look funny because they are so small in a big pot, but the really appreciate all the extra room. If that plant could fill a one gallon, then a two gallon all in 5 weeks from seed, then I think that a 5 gallon may work well for the next Month. These Little guys grow just as fast as any cannabis plant I have seen. I think it would just make sense to sex them in 1 gallons, then throw them in a 5 gallon with good draining mix to finish. Some plants just want lots of space. Self heading Philodendrons and Giant bird of paradise seem to REALLY slow their growth down when root bound. No Question that my plants in the ground(raised bed), with less light per day are bigger than my plants with more hours of light per day in the 5 gallon pots. (seeds from the same bud, planted the same week).

I am curious as to when she will finish as they spent from 8/9 to 9/9 in 24/7, and now they are in the 12/12 of the outdoors.

I will see if I can do a picture of the root ball when the plant fills in the new pot.

What goes on down below is what goes on up above.

The humidity is the death of me. Some plants love it though. I see pothos here with leaves the size of newspaper sheets. Aerial root just covering some of my ficus. The extreme heat and slight frost stresses them out sometimes, but I NEVER got growth this crazy on my tropical plants in coastal southern California. Just SOO much heat and wetness here. Ugg. The first year I was here I nearly got heat stroke until I adapted. It is one of the reasons I am moving back to the pacific. The atlantic is just not for me....especially the south.

People down here don't take kindly to no "green" people, no way, no how.
