Super silver haze
Just got a feminized five pack (£50) and put them in to germination.
Anyone got any experience with this strain? Im a little concerned about the genetics hearing that the original genes all went to Mr Nice, should i be concerned or is the GH SSH worth the 11 weeks to flower? |

You are correct in reading MR. Nice has the genetics.
But most say his new parents used arent quite like the his old stock either. Your better choice probably would have been Shanti's but what can ya do now? They are already paid for... Pop em and good luck! |

Im not particulary bothered about who took what where and when ect.
All that concerns me is that the five beans are worth the fifty quid. Im doing some fem'd GH White Rhino's at the moment, will be ready in 2-3 weeks and ive no complaints what so ever, hence me opting to go for GH again, though i suppose the real test on the Rhino will be how they smoke, i'll let you know |

Hey BD where are those White Rhino pics? I'd love to see'em. Are you going to document your ssh grow? I would be interested in the results from a fem 5 pack. I gott'a agree with you about not caring who took what, that happened awhile back and the longer their apart the more their products will diverge which is a good thing in my mind, greater diversity. I'll buy from both and be better off than some loser who cuts himself off from great genetics because he feels he has to take sides in a fued. I'm documenting right now how nice GHS SSH is, and get this, I'm going to buy MNS SSH because of GHS SSH, so in this case MNS will make a sale because of GHS. Pretty funny huh? Besides, all of this talk is advertising and I'm sure it ups their sales, if I were either of them I wouldn't mind it. Sorry about ranting, it could bring trolls, if you want me to edit it and remove the GHS MNS stuff drop me a note in my "SSH 5 Pack" thread and I'll get it out of here.
If you germed those on 9/8 something must be happening? I'm at the backdoor knocking.... let me in!

howdo Nuggetshinner, Im hoping to harvest at least one of the Rhino's by wednesday which will be week 8. ill harvest the otheres the following weeks and save one just to go to full amber trich maturity, i reckon ill have learnesd how to upload pictures onto the computer then so fingers crossed.
The SSH are a slight problem, i have broke my florescents and im now having to put them under the 600 watt HPS along with the Rhino's for 12 hours and then as the light goes off im having to just put them under a lamp just so they dont go into flower so early, as a result these buggers are really stretching. Hopefully i'll be getting a new florescent light this weekend so again by harvest time for the Rhinos there should be some pictures of some well vegged SSH girls too. BTW I put in four SSH seeds, all four cracked through the soil, but im afraid its looking like im gonna lose one, dont know why but the stem seems very weak and thin, againh probably my fault with the stretch., though the othere three look fine, if not a little too lanky for my liking. update
So all four Super silver haze's survived and are now at day 46 at 12/12.
There are two pheno's, two are short squat plants with quite broad leaves and also the stems leading to the fan leaves are a deep red/burgundy colour, both these plants do not like nutes too much, and both have been topped. The other two are tall typically sativa dominant with with slimmer fan leaves, ive had to tie both down. Cause for concern Despite being in the exact same environment, two of my SSH's are flowering nicely and are now producing trichomes, but two are hardly flowering at all, despite showing sex at the same time as the others - what is puzzling me is that it is not just one type of pheno that is acting this way, i have one of the short plants and one of the tall plants both producing negligible amounts of flowers Yet the other two short and tall girls are looking good and are blooming nicely, anyone any ideas as to why this could be? Edit -All four plants are looking healthy and ph is currently at 6.9 - 7.0 Last edited by Backdoor man; 11-05-2007 at 06:33 PM.. |

hey backdoor man.
only thing i can tel you is that, they take a really long time and they love their root space, i am new to this strain, and you seem a lil more experienced than i, so check my diary (sig below) and i will see what questions i can answer for you.
