Purple haze: 26f 6m - Oldtimer's haze
Here I am again, this time with my first grow diary here on IC MAG.
Am extremely grateful to Ace seeds, Seedbay, my thread readers, Dubi, and Oldtimer for these special seeds. I will do my best as this is an indoor grow and purple haze is an outdoor variety but what the hell, I'm doing this as a true sativa lover... I think you can forgive me. Anyway lets get on with the technicalities: Purple Haze female 26 x Green Haze male 6 Bushy tall structure, higher yielding and most vigorous purple haze. Earthy, woody, grape aromas. Medium-small ovaries. Medium flower/leaf ratio forming big long colas. Medium resin production. Medium-high yield. Green/purple colours at harvest time. A little bit long flowering purple haze. Pleasant but slightly disorienting, more relaxed and balanced high than her sisters. Excellent hash producer, similar to high quality Indian or Nepalese charas. Aprox flowering time: 18-20 weeks. For more information check out this thread https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=59801 I will be using a 250 watt Blue Eco-Light, normal dirt with perlite, and rain water. Guess it's a little bit of lazy growing. Any tips you have feel free to post your comments. DAY 1: seeds have cracked just a little, unfortunately not very visible in this pic, but they are nice and snug in the soft comfort of the Dessa kitchen paper a seeds heaven. DAY 3: The little guys have been taking their time, but look nice and healthy |

DAY 5:- 08/ 09/ 2007
Pretty happy today! The first of the little critters has penetrated the top soil for a breath of fresh air.
Here we go; the first little lone green ranger to taste freedom. Because of the lack of space available I will only be vegging for 2 weeks. I have my previous indoor grow of an outdoor Dutch dragon girl to go on, which was a pretty juicy, beautiful, strong, healthy plant.

DAY 6:- 09/ 09/ 2007
Thanks for stopping by guys, hope things all go as smooth as the beginning.
Heres some pics of the last grow. Dutch Dragon really nice smell to her during flowering, not too skunky very citrus sweet, maybe a slight smell that reminds me of thick vanilla cream which gets stronger as it ages but it doesn't clash with the lemon "aftersmell" awesomely sticky dense buds, and that's just under my lame 250 (I must be doing something right ![]() As always when I think about something one person beats me to it but he does it so much better that all credit is due; Motaco's new thread https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.p...ghlight=sativa The Revival of the ultimate sativa GROW thread. which is all about the best information to growing real sativa divas and where there's a link to the first revival thread if you're in a learning mood, and I think to his purple weed read (but I'm not sure). Well it's day 6 time for some pics: lets all hope its a guy and a girl, I'd love some more seeds. As you can see I'm using Peat pots and a kind of compost comprised of the dead male plants from the last grow, a good mix of different dirt and little bit of perlite. Not offering any nutes with the water just yet. Trying to keep all my grows as natural as possible which is slightly paradox I know but I have no choice. |

not much has changed today actually, both of them are taking it easy, no point making any pictures, one of them flopped over, probably shocked at the rate of its own growth buts it's self righted again, tomorrow i'll post some new pics.
Titoon29 thanks for stopping by, yeah lets hope these grow strong!!! but theres not much to talk about yet.

Have a pack of the 13 X 6 myself, so this is of extreme interest to me!
I must say I admire you AND think you're nuts! Thinking of growing these w/ a 250w just makes me sweat! Then just popping 2 beans! I just hate those odds. I know their expensive, but I'd just have to run half a pack. I just read Motaco's USGT, and that 1st page is just packed w/ great info. What knocked me out was using the clear liner cups inside a colored cup, to track root development. I"m hoping you do that, and keep those containers small, small, small! ![]() Best wishes, HL

Peace Highlighter -Yeah for sure man! the peat pots fit into clear plastic cups anyway so that should be perfect and it only gives them what an estimated 20ml extra soil to cover.
The 250W has served me really well in the last grow. also its down to space and expense, and anything goes that grows! The Purple Haze female 13 X Green Haze male 6 Compact bushy structure. Good vigour. Black liquor aroma. Medium ovaries.Good flower/leaf ratio, denser flower formation than purple haze 3. Medium-high yield. Medium-high resin production. Green/purple colours at harvest time. Average haze flowering time. Physically stimulating, clear mental effect. Approx flowering time: 16-20 weeks. I can see why you chose that, but it was just the smells that got me fixed to the 26. Are you out to do a seed grow as well? |

High hanfiking!
Looks like a good start! Oldtimer's haze line has a very high female ratio, aprox 20%males and 80% females. She doesnt need much nutrients in the young stage, a good soil is enough. Try to put light as close as possible to avoid excessive elongation too soon.Best wishes with haze grow. Good luck and hope you find a male and female! Last edited by dubi; 09-11-2007 at 02:10 PM.. |
