Fall Cop Choppers?

I was just reading through this post:
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.p...80#post1199580

And there was one section that caught my eye, he (or she) mentioned cop choppers which I think seem to jump into action in the fall. I was just curious if anyone has heard of the cops organizing things like this at outdoor harvest time?

I would think with the proliferation of indoor grow-ops, something like this wouldn't really happen that often unless on a solid tip. But to chop at harvest time, that seems like cruel and unusual punishment.

Anyways, just curious if anyone has heard of anything like this happening.

pure evil...

Wouldn't that be considered an invasion of privacy? I guess plain sight from a helicopter would be different than snapping ir pictures of every house looking for a grow.

don't mean to pry but are you guys from the US? Canada? the UK?

Yup, they're flyin' here too, heard the chopper a little northwest of my house yesterday afternoon. I was on the porch having a drink. Going by loudness it was nice and low, I could almost feel the deep "whump whump" of the blades. It did not fly around front where I could see it tho.

Seemed to be checking our city's local bush areas - dubbed by me the ripper zone.

Planes fly here too, I know for a fact there's a couple local pilots that help LEO w/ the search. My plants are nowhere near, so I am not alarmed at all. All singles, well-spread.

but...

I sure hope a large bird flies thru their cockpit windhield while they're buzzin' the treetops...Wild turkey would do nicely.

Peace

i won't -k u frogger, because i know u didn't mean anything bad by it, but lets not talk about bringing in people to drop blackhawks. even if they are searching for our crops, people fly choppers, and at least with me, i value a person's life over my crop, no matter how nice it is. I have a close friend who flies blackhawks in the military, so that joke really isn't appreciated over here.
