For six years now I've kept a perpetual grow and have been very active in soil growing and equip forums being an electrician,OG literally changed the entire way I live day to day,and for that I'm so grateful.When I first came to Icmag,it was an adjustment.There were some interesting subject matter and valid electrical questions,enough to feel I was still contributing..Nowadays I find myself den-addicted,the seriousness and bellyfire of my brothers with the opposing viewpoint I'm finding irresistable.I still check indoor soil and equipt before I hit the den,but alas what has happened?My friend bent my stalk?Is peepee really a good source of nitrogen?Can I flower a Sativa with a 2 ft 2 lamp flo?WTF has happened?Things have changed in my life now,family matters permit me to only keep pheno's in veg for the moment,so maybe I wont be around much anyway.I have to say though,for someone who's only real reason for being here is to share grow knowledge I've learned and make sure folks don't burn their houses down,I've found the den almost habit forming lol.I cant seem to help myself,don't let SKEL go down like this..Anyone else want to fess up?

well i thank you american. i'm one of those people who learn a lot from icmag folk like you. as a noob, there isn't really much for me to teach on this topic, just absorb. im on my first grow but i was literally "watching paint dry" lol. the den, and other forums, gives me a chance to get away from the grow and still stay in touch with the growing community on more than one level, beyond growing. yeah, there are some funny and silly topics and some serious and some outright bloodthirsty. but we're no different from the world outside of marijuana users, growers, and breeders. we got the same silly, serious, and wild problematic people.

what's happening? i think it's two things. first of all, no one can join a community and just choose one part of it to engage. it's like ordering a fat juicy steak dinner and drinking only the water. if you stick to only one thing, even if you love it dearly, you'll start losing the taste for it sooner or later. secondly, marijuana culture is picking up pace from the small group of paranoid individuals to millions of small/mini/micro plants, thousands of large grow ops, and hundreds of lab-quality indoor cultivators. all those different types of people, you're bound to find folks that you can vibe with, folks you don't even want to bother with, and those you want to drown in your organic hydro nutrient solution so they'll be of some use to the world. LOL.

ive only got a dozen grows under my belt but even with my minimal knowledge thi place has been getting dumber and dumber...its summer let the kids go back to school and they wont have time to mess around with icmag...i used to love this place..almost like a addiction...but now i rarley check new posts

It's gatorade on the house for everybody!Not to drink you silly stoners for your plants of course(reference inside soil..).I think it's a virus.The press has become stunningly dumber with their ridiculous questions.People in the den are comparing electrocuting dogs with shooting deer..An unamed politician wants to play paddycake with sworn enemies while bombing our only ally in the region.And I'm feeling dumber,even more than usual.I think the movie invasion is more than just a movie.And I'm being shown who's boss in the den in a quite subtle but unmistakable way haha,she's nicer than me if I had my finger on the button last week i'd have deleted everyone into that new spacehole just discovered.

I am the same way....I have hardly visited the grower's forums since joining..on OG I stayed there.....

og was the same way,just alot more people,so the threads died faster,so most of the time you wouldn't even see the stupid threads cuz no one would reply

Ugh..Not sure what overgrow you were on bro but between luckyleaf and myself,no valid questions went unanswered.There were several dozen active growers eager to teach,str8jacket,measure G,I can go on and on.Unanswered threads in other forums maybe,not indoor soil.A lot more people yes,a lot more kids and a lot more growers.It changed my life totally,I don't think I could accomplish what I did on this forum.Don't compare OG and icmag,its like comparing a whale and a pinfish...

I haven't been here more than a couple of months..and I am ready to go any day...had a troll get under my skin......people got confused about my posts...hell I'm old...I forget stuff....

The American, man, what can I say? I learned so much, electrically and plant/grow wise from you and others like you. You never knew it but you, cyberally, wired my grow closet.
