Anyways I took 6 cuttings from this Galadriel (c99 x SourD)

Took 4 cuttings from this mango

And took 4 from this BlueMystic

These 3 plants have already been confirmed female. I will have pics up soon of the cuttings. I am just using the rw method with Docs cloning gel. I already have some cuttings I took about a week ago that are in a mini homemade areo-cloner,some just in water and some in rockwool.They are all very small clones. The cuttings I took tonight are a lil larger so hopefully I will still have success w/ bigger cuttings.

Anyone have any good tips on how I can get these cuttings to stay alive and root?

My plan so far was taking the cuttings dipping in docs cloning gel.Placed in 1inch rw cubes and placed in a dome under a shoplight w/2 40w flouros.
I plan on opening the dome about once a day to spray the cuttings and make sure the rw does not dry out too much.

How does that sound so far? thanks

I have very little experience in rooting clones but...

One way I did manage to mess up rooting clones without the use of an aero-cloner was that I overwatered the rockwool cubes. If you are keeping your clones under a humidity dome, I doubt you will need to spray the cubes daily. If you feel you must, you could lightly mist the leaves every day, but I wouldn't even suggest doing that unless your clones start to wilt.

Remember, you are trying to force the cuttings to root. Obviously underwatering will kill them, but overwatering will allow the cutting to maintain moisture levels without throwing out roots. We can't have any lazy girls in our garden.

Thanks for the help. I checked my cuttings today and ofcourse some are very droopy. Especially the larger ones. Should I try to stake these up w/ something or will they pop back up on their own? thanks,Mike

Some drooping is normal right after placing cuttings in the cubes due to shock. It should clear up in a day or two. Unless it's absolutely necessary to splint them up, I wouldn't mess with the cuttings as they are in a delicate state right now and easy to mangle (especially when high). If they don't perk up soon, I would seek more experienced help then I can provide. Good luck.

drooping is normal until you build up humidity in the domes. Best thing to do is leave the lid on and only take it off once a day the first several days. When you remove the lid only mist the lid and not the plants. like ntstephenson said... You do not want the RW cubes to be soaking wet. By the time roots are coming out they should be pretty dry. Then you can water the cube. You want to force the roots to stretch out to look for water. Only spray the lid and not the plant or cube until you see roots.

open lil more then ones a day give them fresh air, but don't spray a lot. I found that if your humidity is high spray them too much only make rooting slower.

Thanks for the help everyone.All my cuttings all popped back up and look good again. Last time I tried cloning I kept spraying the cubes everyday because they looked dry and I was afraid the cutting would die. Alot did die and some did root but took forever and are taking forever. Looks like overwatering was my problem. Hopefully I have better luck w/ these 16 cuttings. I really only need 8 at the very most so if 50% live I will be happy if more live I'll have to pass some on to my brother.He will be happy.
Anyway thanks everyone and I will keep u updated on how these do. I am taking 4 more cuttings tommorrow.I am just not sure on which strain I will cut.probably 2 more galadriel and 2 more blue mystic's.

Edit update. Decided to take 4 more Galadriel cuttings this morning.
Keeping this as a record so i remember when i cut them.
