GDS1 Test Grow
I saw GrowDoc's announcement for tester's and jumped at the chance. I received my seeds in 5 days, that's the quickest yet!!!!
Seeds I didn't want to put all my eggs in one basket, so I only started 5 seeds. I got 3 that popped. I labeled them GDS1a, GDS1b & GDS1c Here they are 2 days after being put in soil. GDS1a GDS1b GDS1c and here they are 2 days later Day 4 Right now they are under a single 42w cfl. After they develop some more leaves they will be moved to the mother/clone cab to be grown out a bit. I want to try to take some clones before flowering them under a 600hps. I'd love to see other's people's pics of their test grows of these seeds. Post 'em up folks!!!! Thanks GrowDoc for providing the opportunity to test these seeds! Last edited by growpuppet; 08-22-2007 at 07:08 PM.. |

Okay, got mine today!
Looks like you're off to a good start! I just got mine in the mail, and they were labled GDS2. These are all from the same batch of seeds though right? I'm going to be running all 10 in soil (O.F. and Perlite), starting under a big CFL. Later I'll move them under a 400w MH in a 4x4 shower I'm using as a vegging chamber, and eventually into my new flowering room under a 1kw HPS, and a 600w digital HPS. I plan on letting all 10 veg for a month and then topping them, using these tops as clones. The clones will be flowered, and the best 2 females will be used as clone mothers. So, hopefully in a month or so we'll have data and pictures showing the different phenotypes and I'll be able to pass along what I find out about how easy the plants are to clone. Thanks again to GrowDoc, I'll put up pictures and updates weekly starting a few weeks after they sprout.

Boss- Have you decided how you're going to grow these? In a few months I'm going to do a small coco setup with drippers. If this turns out to be mostly indica, maybe it will do well in a slab?

Good call GrowPuppet, I was just thinking the same thing about the seperate threads. I don't mind one big thread if it's the same strain. People can read posts from diff. users seperatly if they want to see an individuals grow start to finish, or I can start one too, whatever
.So far, I can tell that these girls like to grow! I soaked them in room temp. pure water for about 18 hrs, and when I checked them 4 had sprouted into the water! I put them all into a paper towel / zip-loc, and the next morning all 10 had sprouted quarter to half-inch tails. One little guy had 2 taps coming out he was so ready to go! I hope this high level of vigor continues throught the plant's life-cycle. |

Wow!!! I now have *11* GDS2 Seedlings up, healthy, and going for it! I took off the dome this morning to check on the little budies, and noticed one of the cups had two sprouts. At first I thought I messed up and double planted, but that's not possible. I started these 10, and 5 MOD's Menage in a seperate area, and I now have 16 healthy sprouts. I'm pretty sure what happened was there were two embryos in the single seed, like twin babies. If this is the case, they should be identical right? Is this common?
Oh, okay, so I guess this would be my first official observation: GrowDoc's seeds, 110% germination rate ![]() Okay, the twins are alive, but both seem a little stunted. At present I have 8 healthy, one that died for no reson, and the twins. Last edited by AriesXX; 09-01-2007 at 04:52 AM.. Reason: Changing situation |
