I don't know about the smell, but about midway through my last flower cycle I started finding little floating clumps in my part B of Monkey. Still used it. In fact I still am using it for this cycle. I just clean my drip filter more often.

If you get a bad batch just take it back to the store. Odds are that they'll give you a replacement bottle.
