Red face help with Liquid Karma and Botanicare Power series ferts in Bubbling Buckets

I have been using Liquid Karma in soiless grows for sometime. This is my first try with hydro and bubbling buckets. The ferts I use are Botanicare Power Plant, Power Flower, Blast Off, Liquid Karma, PK13-14, Hydroguard. If anyone has suggestions on the nute strengths to use in a 10 gallon, 2 plant bubbler during early veg and through harvest I would greatly appreciate it. My main question is: I used Liquid Karma in one of the bubblers and the next day it was gooed up on the few roots coming through the net pot and the roots where sick looking. The medium they are in is Lava Rock and roots are just coming out of the pot. How do you keep it from gooping up? I use a Quick Dip (Truncheon) meter and PH strips. Thanks from a hydro newbie

early veg you wont between 400 ppms @ .5 upto 800 ppms @ .5 depending on plant needs & lighting.

I would go 1/2 to 3/4 with DWC

I think allot of my problem is: I started from all 4 plants from seed Feminized Northern Lights. They all seem to be needing different amounts of nutrients. All 4 plants are different sizes from the tallest 8 inches to the smallest 3 inches. it should be allot easier starting from clones next time, I think. Thanks for your help

I picked up the power series along with their blast off. I started the flower and blast off around a month ago for the flowering stage. I started using them late in my grow but fell in love after a couple of days. The growth they experienced was quite nice. I use half of what is recommended on the bottle.

I am doing almost the exact same grow you are. 10 gallon with a powerhead, 3 plant grow, hydroton balls. I am growing out bagseed. Two plants would have been better than 3. 3 is just to many under a 250w hps.

My next grow is going to be Nirvana bubblegum. I am going to grow them in 2 gallon containers with lava rock and connect a resivoir. Having them in one container is just to much of a pain in the ass for me. I cannot rotate the plants to get equal light or move them futher apart as they grew bigger. I do not flush during my grows. I have found that is not necessary and the beneficial bacteria can survive in these conditions.

Another thing that I was surprised at was that my powerhead is submerged and is doing nothing but churning the water. I do not have the air tube connected to supply the nutes with air. I noticed no difference from when I did have the air tube connected.

Hope this helps in some way.

Thumbs up

I have been using these nutrients for quite awhile in soiless with great results. I loved it This is my first Bubbler try. I started with seeds. Fem Northern Lights. each plant seems to need a little different nute strength or mixture. that might be alot of my problem. also I keep forgetting in bubblers they only need 1/2 or 1/3 strength of nutes. When I add the Liquid Karma and or Blastoff my PPMs go way up. So I'm not sure if I am mixing the right Quantities of the nutes. thanks
