Sag version of AK?

Hi Sagarmatha,
I know at one point the guy who runs Serious Seeds Simon and Sagarmatha worked together. My question is, does Sagarmatha have a version of AK47 like Western Winds is to Kali Mist? (Ive heard these varietys are the same as each other).

Good question, shaolin. Seems like someone woulda answered this one. I'd like to know too. I've got some stuporsonic coming and if it grows out well, I'd like to try some more sagarmatha seeds.

I'm trying to add to the mom room.

Peace

I believe the "K" stands for "Kali", as in... "special Kali Mist" sort of.

Um, let's see now. Simon (Serious Seeds) and Tony (Sagarmatha Seeds) used to work together (Cerebral Seeds, I believe), then went their own ways, founding Serious and Sagarmatha.

As far as I know, the original genetics constituting Serious' Bubblegum and Sag's Bubbleberry stems from their time together, so does Kali Mist and Western Winds (WW being a pre -97 Kali Mist equivalent).

I doubt that the "K" in AK 47 stands for Kali, since Simon bred the AK 47 (in 1992) before the Kali Mist (in 1993).

It doesn't exclude that AK 47 and Kali Mist have some mutual genetics though. Simon refuses to reveal the origin of his genetics (except the Bubblegum), he tells only that the AK 47 is a mix of Colombian, Mexican, Thai and Afghani genetics, and some say Simon doesn't even know the origin of his genetics (Kali Mist is supposedly a Californian strain of South East Asian origin that Simon picked up and improved).

Tony will have to answer whether Sag has some equivalent to AK 47's supposed genetic heritage.

Let's add that Simon constantly reinvents his strains, choosing new mothers and fathers from his breeding projects, so eventually he breeds himself away from the original genetics.

That seems highly unlikely artjom

At least about the Special K, which Sag clearly states is a WW hybrid. Unless you're saying that AK is derived from kali mist?

Slyder is said to be a NL/Afghani cross so it could be the same as chronic which as I understand is an Afghani/NL/big bud hybrid. I've never heard of slyder being talked about as a super high yeilding strain like chronic is, but I suppose the same afghani could be used in both but it seems unlikely that big bud made its way into slyder. Maybe though

slyder--- is the same thing as ak-47. they say that slyder produces the cherry pheno more often than serious ak-47 so if you are looking for cherry ak slyder is the way to go.
