Hybrids vs. Salads

Hybrids vs. Salads

Lately I seem to prefer the overall effects of salads verses the hybrids of the same.

I think you sacrifice some of the properties of each when you do a hybrid or cross. Sometimes the end product of the union is better by incorporating the benifits or qualities of each for a better combination. Alot of the times it's just a lateral move as far as quality.

I like to mix salads of the base strains and it seems to have alot more complex a flavor and buzz than the hybrid counterpart.

Example: LSD is a killer hybrid with an awesome distinct smell and buzz, but mix a bit of Lifesaver and Diesel as seperates in a salad and wapoow. You can taste every little nuance and flavor. Much better in a way, to the hybrid.

I've managed to compare about 4 that fit this description "hybrids vs. Salads"

Any thoughts?

Tex

I was thinking about this very thing recently. Do you find that mixing herbs results in a similar flavor to hybrids of the same strains?

Youve hit apon my ancient michigan secret...
I Have been "blending " my Smoke for years..
I first got the idea i the early 70's when i was in the GV mall
In Flint Mich. And happened to visit the "new" Tobacco shop..
They were blending different pipe tobacco to get new mixes.
Ive loved the tasty array of many a blend since..
Nice to see the tradition lives on..
BTW.. Every heard of Paige or Bastrop TX.??

I like blending. Back when I was buying pot I used to take the biggest bud out of the bag, wrap it up, and stash it away. Might have even been a little stingy compared to other people who liked to blaze one right after the other.

but then.....when times were dry........I would come out with these buds I had stashed and share with my buddies of course.

Aside from mixing 3 or more different weeds in one joint another favorite was doing one-hit bongs about 20 minutes apart .......with different pot for each hit. Kind like a wine-tasting except a lot more fun.

I think I might remember reading that there are over 100 different compounds in MJ that get you high and every stain has different levels of each compound.

uuummmm.***Interesting subject*** I was always so carefull not to mix my pot up. I dont know why. I guess since I don't like my food touching other food, I don't want my pot touching other pot. but Im gonna experiment. I have Oasis , white widow , c99 and some brazil x KC.

I often like to mix my hash with my weed....especially those strains which are a little less potent. I do have some connoiseur weed which I wouldn't dream of mixing with anything else, even with a different type of weed, as it has all the qualities I could possibly desire .
