Dwc - the first experience
For some weeks i started looking around the hydro forums ...
So i decided to build an easy and cheap bucket ... , i took a 12L bucket,lined the outside with black/white reflective material , glued 1 airstone to the bottom , i got a 250L/h airpump from the aquarium&fish shop , exactly the same im using for my bubble cloner ... , cut a hole for the netpot ... > ready I decided to "learn&try" with a forgiving variety ... my Cheesef2 ... btw i dont have a ph or ec meter  i never needed those with Seaweed and now Guano´s ... I put the rooted clone in the netpot filled with perlite , found no leka , i´m using GH 3part flora series ... , got no rhizotonic or anything like that , vegged the clone for 4-5 weeks , next to the same clones just on soil ... , and there´s a significant difference in growth .... Today i put the bucket in the flowering chamber under the 600w candle , using the Lucas formula [20ml micro/40ml bloom on 10L water averaging 16ml micro/20ml bloom per gal ] i will get some pix later .. an input or thoughts are welcome ... thx and have fun Fj

With a healthy plant, no overfert, no budrot and GH 3 part nutes they should taste just fine. The only possible problem I could imagine is that we're in August, and things tend to get hot. You need to keep that nutrient solution as cool as possible. Your roots look okay for now though. Unfortunately I'm in my summerhouse right now, otherwise I could dig up a better flowering formula for you than the Lucas formula (that should work just fine anyway).

my friend i am a lucas formula user as well...i have found if you supplement it with cal mag plus 5 mil per gallon and back of the 8/16 to like 6/12...the plants just love ...its like perfect man...calmag plus get some if you dont have...your plants look fantastic man...peace

thx everyone ... , i dunno where to get calmag here .., so i will look around next week ..
my other suggestion was using the E&F tables just with hydro ton and build an irrigation system ...

hehe thx Lucid its my first try in hydro since i started growing ...
For now it looks that i might to switch just medium , from soil to leka or coco ... , and use my E&F tables ... , i will get 2 1000L/h pump for flooding the tables ...

fjällhöga..... i have never ran a hydro system b4 something i will do soon forsure.... i have heard and seen soo many good/dank thinkgs come outta coco... another thing i would like to try ....... i would love to see .. a side by side by side.... Dirt/Hydro/Coco a thread like that would get some attention for sure....
also fjällhöga.... i would like to comment on some of your lines.. you one of the few good breeders around right now... like your blowfish/haze/flowfish ... lines.... nice crosses to say the least bro ... you are releasing some quality stuff all the time keep up the amazing work ... and be sure to keep us updated on whats next...... (so what is next on the list?) stay safe .... and keep it nice and frosty ... |
