Can the US gov't seize your home if growing under 5 plants?
my question is rather simple. i would like to grow a few plants in my closet for personal use but im obviously concerned with the seizure laws. Its a CO-OP in NY. if the worst occurred, and i was caught growing can they seize my home? is their a certain amount of plants in order for them to legally seize a home? co-op? condo?
i would find it hard to believe that they can seize a home for 5 plants, but i wanna be certain. thanks |

but, how many grams does the gov't assign to each plant? it mentions sale and cultivation, but the punishment is listed in grams, if i have, say 1 plant growing, how many grams would that be? |

As a newbie I got about 20 grams dry on my first grow per plant. But Leo measures in what they find so wet you.re in trouble. Also they will weight the whole plant.
Basically, if caught growing you can loose your home in fines alone. And Co-ops are always full of nosey people. If you are asking then I suggest you grow elsewhere. I knew a guy who rented a storage space in a crappy factory building and grew a dozen plants.. No one ever looked twice at him. Just keep it private and scrub your air. Good Luck brother PEACE DA

I got busted for 42 plants last august, I own my home, its still here, so is everything I owned previously, minus all my seeds, lights, and plants.... unless yer under federal investigation for something FEDERAL, like tax evasion etc etc.. you shouldnt fear the feds if yer under the 99 count... feds focus on things like Meth and coke now... just dont tell people that you grow, and have odor controll.. simple as that! I'll say this and i hope members listen. The government can and will do what they like. I was busted along time ago. I had my plant numbers under the magic number of 100. I didn't loose my home, but i did loose a nice 4x4 SUV. My lawyer did everything known to man, but there was no way to get it back. My point, don't get all pissed if they take your home,Car,Boat, or whatever else you have of value, and they auction it off. OH, by the way also. I was told i could not bid on my SUV either. Now, that was some shit also. Just watch out and cover your ass, because they will steal everything they can. More money that will go into their department in the end. Take care and be safe.

I'm very thankful for a kickass lawyer, support of family and friends. We both where very lucky and blessed. It's best to always look ahead and what might happen. You never know when 3 different LEO are going to be at your front door. It's one FUCKED up feeling and let me tell you. I never want that shit to ever happen again.
