excellent guys! This is great...Buzz, I've got my front row seat reserved (gotta pack of the same beans in the fridge and I'm itching to see how they do). My own Crip Cross (sounds good don't it? ) the Neville's haze x Bluberry is doing wonderfully, I can safely say you can expect great things to happen with your grow of the Cap's genetics. Will stay tuned for sure!

Hey Buzzbob,

This should be fun to watch. If they turn out half as good as your AK thread with Berta, Carly, and Della you should have a great time with this one. Will you be running them in the same setup as with the AK's? I'll ge keeping an eye on this.

Hey all! --

Thanx for the props! Always appreciated!!

Hey! Here's an odd one-off question: When growing from seed, when do you consider Vegging Start? i.e., When they are transferred to their grow system {DWC in this case}, or when a certain number of nodes have been reached?

[edit] I opted to use the date the seedlings move into their productions system as the Veg Start Date. This move is timed with a majority of the group showing rootlets at the bottom of their respective RW Cubes. [/edit]

Here's the progress:
--- Strain -------- Soak ---- Rockwool ---- Veg ------ Flower --- Harvest ---- Dry
SFxBlueberry 1 -- 10/17/04 -- 10/18/04 -- 10/30/04

SFxBlueberry 2 -- 10/17/04 -- 10/18/04 -- 10/30/04

SFxBlueberry 3 -- 10/17/04 -- 10/18/04 -- 10/30/04

SFxBlueberry 4 -- 10/17/04 -- 10/19/04 -- 10/30/04

SFxBlueberry 5 -- 10/17/04 -- 10/20/04 -- 10/30/04

SFxBlueberry 6 -- 10/17/04 -- 10/20/04 -- 10/30/04

SFxBlueberry 7 -- 10/17/04 -- 10/20/04 -- 10/30/04

10/22: #4-6 are above ground
10/23: #7 is above ground
10/24: All seven, standing proud!
10/25: Started "hardening" the sprouts
10/27: All seven are "weened" from the humidity dome;
10/27: Misted a little once or twice;
10/27: Have noticed some browning of the leaves; Discontinued misting
10/29: Little change, slow growth;
10/29: 3 of 7 are showing rootlets at bottom of 1.5" RW cubes
10/30: Placed all seven into their 5 Gallon DWC Buckets;
10/30: Depth of water/nutes ~3/4" into the NetPots until roots show
10/30: ~250ppm @ .5; pH 5.8; RH 53% (varying up 'n down); Temp ~72 Degrees F
10/31: Little change; slow growth;
10/31: Several have "distorted" initial leaves; A trait of Daddy Blueberry?

I can't remember if I have Superfruit x Blueberry or Superfruit x Blue Satellite, gotta check the fridge , either way my next grow is going to contain something of the Cap's genetics again for sure. I just can't get over my Neville's x Blueberry .

Hiya Ms Blue! --

Thanx for stopp'n by! Ayuh, I really tussled over how I wanted to grow these. I debated whether to set up an E&F System, or a smaller DWC, or what... I ultimately chose to stick with what I {more or less} know, and have supplies for; the 5 Gal DWCs.

So... Just when do most mark the beginning of Veg?

I have like 7 feet vertical room in flower, so I plan to veg 'em until they're like 14-16". {I can go as high as 18" under the fluoros} Being a new cross, I have no idea what they will do in Stretch Mode. LOL... So, yes, this should be quite interesting indeed!

Oh! I just realized that I neglected to mention I am using GH 3 Part Nutes, with the Lucas Formula managed by PPM. In other words, I will be using a ratio of 1:2, Micro to Bloom; no Grow, gradually increasing the PPM as the plants want more...
