Hortilux Blue........Anyone using them yet?
Anyone using a Hortilux Blue yet? I saw these at my grow store. The color spectrum is amazing.
Here's a 1000 Hortilux HPS ![]() Here's a 1000w Hortilux Blue MH ![]() I don't think they put out the lumen of a HPS, but the spectrum looks damn good to me. Anyone flowering with one of these yet? I'm very interested. They're available in 250, 400, and 1000 watts. |

They are expensive as hell, and have an incredibly short life - but if niether of those two factors is a problem for you, then go get one today becasue they are bright as all hell! Easily the brightest Halide I've seen. Setting aside price and lifetime, it's the best pure (i.e. blue) veg bulb out there, next would be a Sunmaster Cool Delux.

I heard they are really sweet mh bulbs.Have you ever seen the Solar NRG bulbs? The red color ratio is 16.8% color temp 2063k and it has -get this-160,000 lmns. All for the same price as a hortilux.NRG doesnt make MH bulbs but are coming out with one soon i heard.Check em out at www.hmoonhydro.com - I purchased one a couple months ago and man it is alot brighter than my old Hortilux.

Interesting DancesWithWeed. I had never heard about those bulbs before. I may have to try them down the road.

Yes I have been using hortilux bulbs for a couple of years. You get what you pay for in hid bulbs. They are worth the money!I am currently running a 1000w hortilux along side a combo system with a 400w mh and a 600w hortilux to compare grows and the combo is so far out performing the 1000w hortilux.

Check out www.1000bulbs.com for information on red and blue mh and some advanced hps stuff
My hood comes set up for a 600w mh and a 600w hps for the full spectrum saturation but I run 2 hps bulbs instead Tex |

I've had my 400w hortilux blue running for about 2 weeks now. My third hydro grow so won't try to be an expert but can say it's bright has hell itself and does seem to cause close groupings and feel is helping with new growth compared to old bulb. Time will tell but if I can grow with it believe me anybody could. But all reports I have read everybody love's it.
