Ready-Gro, yah or nah?
Posted Q in hydro, here is better...
After doing a search, I dont see many posts about the stuff. I called Botanicare and they told me some stuff that sounded good. The Coir is "activated" with Liqud Karma... Also has earthworm castings, plus more. Im considering using it in a wick system similar to an earthbox, with 6" rockwool cubes as a main wick. I have bottles of Flora Nova bloom and Pure Blend pro grow, Sillica Blast, and some seaweed extract with iron. This has gotten me through soil, DWC, and DFT grows of various plants all with awsome results. It sounds like good stuff. Whos has experience with it? They guys at the local shop dont know anything about it. They only run the "expensive stuff" in the shop, so any of my "simple set-up" Qs, I get a blank face. "uhh, that sounds good" lol. Thanks |

I'm about to use the Botanicare Ready-Gro slabs Aeration formula.
20KWdreams uses em. I hear ya not too many people around here use em. When I first learned about them I did research and wasn't able to find too many people with direct experience with them. Actualy 20Kw was the only one around here I found. I was gonna do coco slabs, but after learning about the Ready-gro slabs and doing some research I decided to go with them. I haven't used em yet though so I can't help ya with direct experience yet. I think you should run coco style nutes with em since that's pretty much what they are. I'm gonna use Monkey Juice. |

gringle, the lady told me that they presoak it in the LKarma to "activate" it. She sais that they then add perlite and pumice etc. Im not saying that ALL coco is "activated" just that Botanicare dose their Ready-Gro coco that way.

Fur shure, mate you've got the advantage of me there.
Like I said I like to keep it simple, I've got seeds and clones in one space, mother plants in another, vegging in one room flowering in another. The last thing I need is anything more complicated than Canna lol And to top it all; I should have an OKief tumbler arriving this week Me and my dog are going to be fighting over squatters 'rug rights' shortly all the best gringle. |

I just left the Hydro shop and they told me that FloraNova Bloom would work with no additives. But he did say to have a bottle of CalMag "just in case" but I shouldnt need it.

I was also wondering if I'm gonna need Cal-mag when using those ready-gro slabs.
20k told me he used Monkey Juice and didn't need to add any calmag. I don't think you'll need it if your using FNB. I hate adding calmag so I'm hoping I won't need any this time. |
