Angry Anybody else tired of wearing the pants in the family??

I sure am....
DH is a child in a man's body...sometimes I wish he would buck up and be a dude for christsake.
Without going in to gory details..we have been together for almost 30 years, the kids are grown and out of the house...and I fail to see what the big deal is about doing things himself...like making important phone calls...even going to the store to buy groceries.

I do everything............

its give and take with my girl, i give her some dishes and she takes them away, i give her some laundry she takes it away.

but on a serious note my girl and i have always shared responsibilities around the house, she also told me she read somewhere that younger couples (which we are) are more likely to stay together longer and be happier if their are shared duties.

Lightbulb Simple...

Go on strike for a week! Do YOUR stuff, but don't wash his clothes, cook his food, make his calls, wipe his nose, etc! I had to do this, too, but he was in his 30s then. I worked when he lost his job. He thought I should work all day and then come home, do the house work and cook him dinner! THAT went over like a lead balloon! I told him "I quit!" and made my own food, left the house in a mess and didn't talk to him for a few days. He got the message!

Now that he is mildly disabled, in his 60s, he does the dishes, and other housework. He makes his own phone calls and gets his own snacks. You just might want to show your hubby this article! It's titled "Key to a Good Marriage? Share Housework"

They are widening the road to four lanes, putting in a highway/bypass thingy.

We will be back up and running soon, in a different house than the computer, which makes me happy...I could never post before, just lurk.
DH insists on being uber careful, lol.

Granma, If you have had him 30 years he will not have any trade-in value. So, I say throw him out. Thats right keep the house, cars, dog, and tell him he will get nothing and like it ! Get a make-over, find a young stud that rocks your world, and raise him.
As Ever,
DR.Trouble
P.S. I always charge a minimum of a one hour session, however, In this case I will only bill you for the time it took to post the reply.
