i used to be into MMA/ UFC stuff more than I am now. I feel like its just getting overplayed. I kinda resent the fact that with basic cable, anytime during the evening I can flip through the channels and its on 4 places. Its kinda like overplaying a good song on the radio. no matter how great it is, you hear it over and over and it just gets boring. However, I still look around for those really good fights. It seems like the up and comers are often the most interesting/exciting to watch partially due to the fact that they haven't become as technical and still are throwing crazy and almost uncontrolled punches and kicks all over.

I never cared much for boxing unless Tyson was getting ear hungry. UFC is the future of ring fighting. I just got done watching UFC 72 Victory [ from Ireland on 6/17 ] and it was really good.

The best thing about UFC fights is their stopped long before they get to do serious damage. Boxers will get their bell rung, do a count and fight another seven rounds not even remembering it ending up with permanent brain damage. Listen to the interviews of retired UFC fighters compared to retired boxers and its easy to hear what sport is safer for them.

^^ yea a nice elbow to the face is refreshing...or two or threee!! dont get my above post wrong..i love the UFC..i just hate it when some dood arm bars the guy and its over in 6.2 seconds...yea u broke his arm but damn i wanted to see someones teeeth get knocked out!

what I would like to see is the Presidents/Dictators and Politicians that don't agree with each other having bare knuckle fights to settle their differences.......instead of them mobilizing battilions of troopers with guns and ammunition...... on pay-per-view T.V.....with the proceeds going into defeating poverty........then innocent people would not have to die in wars.......

But i can say this its ez to talk about it but get yer ass in the cage then lets see... When that gate closes its no turning back.. And if i have to finish some cat thats gettin ready to smash my face with his elbows.. And i can get a triangle choke that biatch is saying ni nite...when yer in there yer not thinking hmm i really choose to KO this guy.. Or well maybe ill choke him.. Its BAM wow that hurt wtf am i going to do now.. Its whatever comes when it comes. Theres a gameplan yea but,thats out the window when ya get fooking kick to the liver.. Its called a guard. Thats a place for most guys to get some rest.. Or some guys to get their arm broke. Or choked out.. I disagree.... its like comparing wine to whisky... they are so different! yes they are both fighting events like both are alcohol but so different in so many ways..

At the same time. Most people are only into the the big headline heavyweight shit and that category is fucked right now. But there are still excellent fights lower down.

I think it is a preference of personal taste!
