Anyone hav the problem of losing the smell of their weed after drying. My weed always smells gorgeous wen i chop it but after drying i seem to get the same smell and iv smelt the same in other homegrown, its sorta like a damp woody cardboard sorta smell, does any one else get this?? if yes how do u get rid of it???? peace

Durrin curin buds at first loose there smell, but should come back tri-fold if you leave them in the jars curin' long enough.

Iv never tried currin in jars before do i put the weed in straight away or let it dry some first, and how long do i leave it in the jars for???

Curin' is the most important step of em all.

Let them dry till the stem snaps (or however dry you like em) then stick them in jars. Open up the jars and rearrange the nugs once a day for the first week. Then open them up and rearrange the nugs once a week. Leave em in the jars for a month.... Half way through the cure you should notice the smell coming back.

yes, curing is the key to good bud,

I have also noticed lower wattage bulbs produce less dense buds, so they air out easier and lose their smell quicker, what wattage are you using? Also don't forget to flush!

I get that no smell problem with my more sativa strains?

Im organic all the way(bio-bizz nutes) apart from my oxy-pot which is my first hydro grow and I use a400w hps in a small wardrobe.peace

i know what you mean Dr.D I just harvested some beautiful Cali-o and it smells like hay but i will try curing

Yeh i put all the bud from my hydro plant into jars but its the only stuff iv got thats dry so its nearly all gone, maybe the next lot wont get smoked so soon.....lol and itl finish curing.peace
