Yah snapping chains is a bitch that is the problem I had with the first DIY autobox build, it is almost impossible to get the chains to line up properly without Hard mounted brackets that dont move or flex @ all.
If you wanna fix it you could find the master link in the chain and pull it off then take it to a bike repair shop or mabey a motorcycle shop if its a heavy duty chain.
IMO they should go to belts for the drive mech they take the twisting and movement without damage.
I hope you get it back up and running if its needed this season

Harvested the cheese!! Yield should be 3-5 lbs. Very pleased with the Grobot.
