Looking for Acapulco Gold - Breeder's Choice - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Howdy everyone!

I grew up in the 1970's-80's and remember Acapulco Gold and Panama Red were "THE" strains. Now they are both near impossible to find. I have been able only to find Dr. Greenthumb selling a couple of strains that have AG parentage, thats it.

Any ideas if pure AG or PR are still available or why these 2 strains have nearly disappeared?

I was recommended to this subforum by High & Lonesome

Well, they aren't still available any seed companies but they are still around. There's several contributing factors as to why they're rare. The main reason being that capitalist societies in general are doomed to short sightedness. In the eyes of western civilization there will always be something newer and better. The 80's and 90's were spent chasing herb that was fruitier, faster and more resinous.

I got some fantastic AG from Guerrero a few years back from a good man whose family had been growing it and different things for a loooong time, took most of his seeds of course

only a few left but I know where to get it

gotta send a letter there someday when it's time, too bad I dont have any pics left (Overgrow sleeping) but believe me it was good.

not sure if its what you might be looking for but annaC has some columbian f2's listed up at seedbay.I'm running several of his strains, and if he says it's legit,it's legit

yes i rember thoses days,wen u cud get very good yellow alcapoco gold and red bud....take me to leader of the pack....dam good to hear the luv for annac++thats a good thing....moon/def. kisses...
