In the Box

It all starts at the top
This is my box of wonders and it's about time for a thorough inspection.
Above you will notice three 600 Watt HPS FutureBrite ballasts. They've been trouble free from the jump and my old 400 was good until her microfans gave out. I fixed 'em at Radioshack. Support efficient technology, I say.
I need all the help I can get.

Bulbs are 2 Eye Hortilux and 1 Solarmax (for comparison)

this my new canfan extractor 1023 initial cfm!
Not pictured is the old warhorse elicent. At 6" I'm guessing she's pulling 400-600 cfm intake from behind the reservoir

which is this 150 Gal monster. Continual pH/EC/temp monitor floating on top.
Inside is a 600gph recirc pump with an air injection tube. I call it the Bop Gun!
What? You want some oxygen, or something?
The drip pump itself is 1100 gph with backflow protectors, cutoff valves, and an inline filter running to two separate tables.

This 3x3 is all white widow fed on drip stakes. The Cocomat is experimental and since these girls are just vegging into the 1/2 gal bags shown from 1/2" rw cubes their roots have not yet interacted with it.

This 6x3 tray is all BubbleJack.

A closer inspection

The dripline is poked forcefully through the matting.

Here is the first bale of coco that my babies will be transplanted into. They'll move into a mix of 3 and 2 gallon bags of straight coco. Right now they're in my proprietary blend of chunky perlite and royalgold with a dash of Plant Success in the bottom.
Feeding Schedule Begun As pH'd water with superthrive 1/2 strength.
Transitioned to PBP Grow @ 0.6 EC
PBP Grow now @ 1.0 EC
minor tip burn on lower growth.

Fun, fun, fun in the indoor sun, sun, sun. My previous run at this location was vertical 150+ sites and a major pain in the ass. Back to basics for me. Flat, Coco, DTW...... KISS, right?

Cue the deafening silence

Wait, now i'm jumping the gun.
If anyone else feels like i've forgotten some crucial element don't be afraid to speak up. Without further ado, then, i present some more details from my consumptive hobby:

The aforementioned Bop Gun. It doesn't raise the temps in the res, surprisingly.

Any ideas on what this might be? This pic is with the lights on.

As is this.

EC and pH respectively. You'll find i use a lot of tape. It's a gift, not a skill. Strike that. Reverse it.

These two runts are a mystery. Okay, well the larger one had a twisted dripline through the matting. The smaller one remains a mystery. It taunts me with its punyness(sic?)

Where's waldo?

The White widows are shooting up like rockets towards the artificial sun.

While the Bubblejacks are bushing, in a land far away

New growth from an ancient forest

Yay Tents!

I really would appreciate any and all feedback.
It's starting to get lonely in my little box.....sniff.......
Especially if anyone has a clue on that pic with the interveinal chlorosis.....

Juries Cannot Be Punish for Their Verdicts.

You are runnin' great setup,
Next grow of my will be something like your's,
It's far away, but I just have to take a seat, learn and coco along.

That feeding schedule looks impressive.

Thanks Johny,

my reservoir is so big that all the two and three day feedings will be troublesome. I don't want my big pump to run so close to dry for fear that she might overheat. We'll see soon how it turns out.

Peace, Love, and Coco

Ziggy420 is on a distinguished road
High times put out a hydroguide on the magazine rack in April or May. There's a nice write up on nutrients, micro and macro, and symptoms of deficiencies.

Thanks Ziggy,
a new magazine shop just opened around the way so i'll go see what issues they have in.
I really prefer cannabisculture over hightimes any day, but i'll have a look. It seems to be a fairly isolated issue. My new concern is gnats. I'm busting out the neem as we speak, then pyrethrum, then neem and a full dose of gnatrol somewhere inbetween. Just goes to show you that daily maintenance is essential.

Thanks gaius,
it's always good to know the heavy hitters are watching! I'll have more pix posted soon (probably this afternoon). I'm about to transplant into the five gallon bags and mix the first big batch of the ironman nute schedule. Also noticed that extra transplants in the veg tent developed way more mycelia from the Plant Success than the girls in the box on the autodrip. Probably frequent watering stunts mycelial growth. Or it could be the way i mixed the plant success into a bag of coco and let it colonize a couple days before transplanting. Or both.

Peace, Love, and Coco
