I have never heard of that cross specifically, but it sounds dank. I am growing Spice for the first time, and it is absolutely delicious. I crossed her with a SSH short, hazy male. I haven't even harvested mom yet, and I can't wait to grow her babies, lol. Do you have pix of SpicyJack in flower?

Ahh...Spicy jack. I have grown this for about a year st8 now. I actually just switched over to OG Kush, but SJ is one of my favs.
I beleive that it is a Bay Area developed strain, as I have not heard of it anywhere else, and most folks have never heard of it. I am not sure of the actual crosses, but I do know That it has Jack Herer for sure, as I have done alot of the regular Jack. HUGE Producer, if trained well. Pinch and Bend to keep the height under control. This is the only strain I have done that hit 1.08 grams per watt. The pics below is of that particular click. I hit 9 lbs on 4 1000w lites 9 plants per 4x4 area for a total of 36 plants. Flowering time was 7-8 weeks. I can't seem to post pics, but there are 3 pics of a Spicy Jack Grow in My Gallery Last edited by NorCalHal; 05-12-2008 at 06:33 AM.. |

As I heard it the spicy jack from the bay was one of a select number of phenos developed from a jack herer recombination. That is to say that some of the strains in jack herer were used to produce a different effect. Where before a male from a certain breed was used in the original jack this recombination would use the female, or vice-versa. I don't really know what else to call it.
These recombinations are the super jack, spicy jack, bubble jack, and there was a melon-jack that is now lost. Peace, Love & Coco |
