got my beans fastern ever,
head"s g13xdesiel..i was one of the original testers for this strain and thought i,d give them another go... unfortunately almost half the 13 beans i got were mutants...not good folks!!! im not superstitisious but, i'd would think that 1or 2 bad beans would be exceptable! not half!!!! sent a pm to head but, no response......im not mad...rather dissapointed because i liked his strain!maybe next time!! peace sparo |

Damaged moving from paper towel to dirt? Understand that mutatations are statisticly very rare, and for you to have 5 in one pack indicates something else going on. I've seen a few of them that were slow starters, or had an odd shaped leaf early on, but they all straightened out in short order. I'm not superstitisous either, but you haven't run across any black cats lately or broken any mirrors have you? If anyone else has had any such issues, please let me know.

ill pop my pack just to let you know brother- just picked it up last week so it will be good to have recent input to throw in the mix...lookin forward to that g13 d.... sounded mighty tastey to me! Hope thingswork out sparabos- ive had a couple- none of heads stuff but other lnes plantees showed weird growth to start and ended up coming out- hopefully yours will do the same.... hey h3ad is there anything fresh hitting the bay soon? Always look forward to your new listings! Be popping 10 of the cj's this week to so ill post those bad boys too.

And, even though in my experience bad growers are alot more common than bad beans, there is the possibility that you 'won the bad bean lottery' and I'll arrange you some more if that's what you'd like...

Id say check yer PH. and ask you how long you let them grow to determine they are mutant.
some times seedlings understress will act a bit deformed, and still pull out to a 'normality' once they establish themselves.. damaging seedlings is easy to do, even unknowingly. Heads do great work. Peace. bub.

okie dokie smokie
like i said..no big deal...i bought the beans because i liked the strain..i wasnt ready for the mutts.....all 13 germed normally...they were in my regular seedling soil ph at 6.3 all came up normal except 6...6 were normal big leafed beauties..6 were fuggered up? never happened before and ive germed 100"s not that many at 1 time..maybe it was my turn to have a twilightzone moment? i dunno why they just did..i know your a busy guy with your cj in a mag..cool!! ill take the loss and chuck it up to experience...no replacements necessary..if im the only 1 out of thousands of beans to have this problem..it MUST be my fault! thx for your time! sparo |
