LETS GIVE THE SLABS A GO

Well its time for a new grow this run will be with canna coco slabs drippers and some K2 cuts. The rooms had a little makeover,
ROOM SPEC
3m long 1.2m wide and a good ceiling height.
2x600wt digi ballast with new diamond reflecters
9x1m coco slabs and trays drip fed run 2 waiste
10" airforce acoustic box fan (wow its almost silent )pulling out
6" intake
climate and co2 controler
both lights are running back and forth on 1 2.4m long light rail

well thats the room made a few small changes new shades and stuff ,gonna give the slabs a go. the cuts took there time to root so only got 3 per slab. They have been in small polly bags for 5 days and went on the slabs yesterday the slabs were soaked in ph 5.7 and ec 0.6 useing some nutes i got of a dutch rep there called metrop he tells me i will be very impresed i had a good talk and he def no,s his shit. the pumps not running yet gonna give them a day or so to look around i think thats about it ! i'll update when i can be arsed typing aint my thing. if i missed out judt let us no and i will gladley answer cheers bullseye

hidiho!
looks really nice- imho one of the best systems, coco with drippers...
there ´gonna be lot´s of buds.
you use metrop? that´s good food for your plants- the difference between for example ghe, or AH and Metrop or Biogreen concerning taste and smell is really impressive.

grow on bro

Yop,
best wishes to what's comming...

I'm kinda surprised by the way you spread around your plantes... They've got a lot of space in lenght (3 per slab) and no room on the others sides (they are so close in widtwh!!!).
I don't know if you understand what I meant...
It's just not the best way according to me...

to be honest i start dripping 3 times a day right after i plant them on the slabs. funnily enough canna have come up with a new recommendation where watering in coco is concerned. they are advising 1 daily watering early on expanded to 2 times later when the plants suck it up more. they reckon 6 to 10% more yield to the old 3 to 5 times a day recommendation. there again the leaflet was showing pics of vegetables and beds of coco, no slabs. still interesting. my watering theory is that if you start dripping when you plant them in the slabs, they adapt their roots to the hydroponic conditions and really start to thrive withing 24 hours. i have done runs with 4 waterings a day as well as runs with up to 7 waterings a day. i've tried it with loads of run off and with less run off. all that didn't seem to make much difference, so now i run the pump 4 times in veg and 3 times in 12/12 each time till a decent amount of water runs off.
