Hi Scott64a,

Not sure i fully understand your post. Are you growing Nepal Jam from older first generations or from the new ones ? Are you growing Nepal Jam regular or fem version ?

Nepal Jam is overall a quite an inbred line and her yield is usually not big, but if you post pics of your Nepal Jams maybe we can help you to try to get the best from them.

Hi Scott64a,

Sounds like the Nepal Jam seeds made by your friends that you are growing come from the older generations of the strain (from one decade ago!).

Glad you are finding the strain overall easy to grow and with good resistance. As you said Nepal Jam usually likes to grow columnar and these kind of columnar phenos don't like much topping unless you can provide them a long vegetative stage.

There are other branchier and thinner phenos, more related to the jamaican, that react much better to topping although they are not so common in latest Nepal Jam releases, which have been bred towards a very resinous and early flowering purple nepalese pheno.

Hi Scott64a,

Our outdoor field tests past season showed that the new Orient Express x Nepal Jam hybrid consistently produced very high yielding plants, with great adaptability and excellent finished product, most of the plants of the hybrid finished in early October around latitude 40ºN. It's a poly hybrid but almost worked with F1 predictability.

We also grew straight Nepal Jam and Orient Express beside the Orient Express x Nepal Jam hybrid, and the hybrid was clearly superior to both parental plants, showing also a very desirable mix of traits from both strains.

Greetings Dubi, sounds a great cross. Is it going to be released?
