I Grew it. it was nice but not quite as impressive as i hoped with 12 beans too though great in flavor. the g13 cross was more potent!

^^^ My understanding is that it is not very closely related. RM selected his from regular blueberry stock, it was just a sativa dominant pheno of regular blueberry. Should still be very nice, but quite different I would say.

dang! oh well, i'll grow it out and maybe i'll have some pics to throw on here for comparison. i cant wait for dj's to come out, i've been waiting for him to release the blueberry sativa!
 should be right up my alley!

Mr A and all of you that contribute thanks. IMO You make the most interesting reads in the entire website. In the 80s I was a misguided soul.. I had quit smoking weed (cigs too), quit drinking beer and voted for Ronald Ray gun. In the last couple of years my son started to smoke it and I confinscated quite a bit from him (he was under 18 and if everything else in life was straight I might have allowed him to continue). Anyway, I was tempted and started smoking again. Because of this delay in my smoke life I was completely out of the loop in what was going on with the MJ world.
One of the first things I noticed was a lot of shit weed being sold for top dollar, Mind you I live in Washington State. Another, I had to make connections with people that were half my age and too flakey for a newly ex-republican to deal with. This year I started to grow Big Bud (from Amsterdam Seed Company). Here is another thing I noticed, Seeds are rare and worth a lot of money. I bought the BB for $55 or something like that, and to be honest, it was not too bad of a deal. Hell, they gave me some ten other seeds too, but they were not identified. I mean if Pot is roughly $10 USD per gram, how much are seeds at $55 for ten of them. What a deal, and if this stuff is ever legalised you breeders are going to really get rich, and I think the world is ready for this stuff now. Just my opinion. Here is what gets me.. I have been so taken in reading the beautiful artistic writing of the Blue Lines, that I want to get into it too. I am growing mainly Indica Doms right now and I am ready to tear it all down for the sake of a Sativa High that I had in the 70s. I wrote a thread about some Hawaiian that I smoked one time that was like a trip that kept growing in waves, and I know now from what I am reading that that was indeed a Sativa. I had never even heard the word Sativa at the time of the Hawaiian. So that is what I would like to produce. How does a dummy like me get started? Do I just start Buying DJs' stuff and hope for the best, or do I buy a ton of the seeds and try to find my own mother? Then what, seed her with some un-pheno male just to make seeds of her, or delay my first crop with the taken of clones? Thanks, and if there are any stories that can fill in the Gaps of DJ Short and the Breeder Steve that I can read that would be some great drama. Stories of politics, technical differences, raids... All good stuff to read about. |
