Will there be any paraguayan strains available from BC anytime soon?

Sorry, G. We don't have any plans to release any. Most paraguaian genetics come from Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and more and more frequently from Holland. Much of what's being grown in Paraguai nowadays is hybrids and sadly growers are very involved with some really sketchy organized crime groups and gaining access to farmers is very dangerous. IMO its not really worth it for us at this point with so much more that needs to be preserved. I'm curious as to what made you interested in Paraguaian seeds?

i'm guessing brother Ganico smoked some good bricked herb in Br or Arg?
i wouldn't waste time with the paraguayans either, not when there are indians in maranhao with a landrace no one's preserved... but the paraguayan brick deserves its props, still, actually one of the best bagseeds i ever grew was an indica from paraguay. so Ganico, i have a decent collection of fairly hard-to-germ brick seeds from stuff i've gotten over the past few years, if you're interested, PM me.

What made me interested in the paraguayan strains was I reading about "verdasani" (sp?), and they said it was a pure sativa from paraguay. So I did a google search for that, and didn't come up with much. But I did find a post on another site with an old BSC stocklist that listed Sabre sativa, but in the parenthesis next to it, it said (pure sativa landrace also called verdasani) or something like that. Now it just says something about hairy landrace full of resin glands.
So I wasn't sure if that was a misprint or what, so I did a search here. And then I came up with some of your posts talking about it, and said it was a fruity sativa. And that you thought it may have some dutch genetics, but that it could also got some african genes instead though, and be a pure sativa. But with what you just told me about there being a bunch of hybrids with dutch genetics (indichrist strikes again), then I guess it's more probable that it does got some indica in it. Although it'd be really nice if it actually had african genes instead and was a pure sativa I'm guessing you noticed indica traits in it in the first place though to make that hypothesis, but also some african influences, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this one. Anyway, yeah so that's what got me interested in paraguay, haha. |

I agree with Zamalito, here in Argentina, people smoke brick herb "ladrillo paraguayo", really doubtfull quality, they call manchado paraguayan x skunk. 2 or 3 months ago a lot of murders of people involved in mj traffic
I think is really dificult to find original paraguayan sativas
