yellow tops
I got some mr nice shit that nearly finished buddin 1 hydro and a few organic. the hydro plants really healthy ( 1st time hydro) but the organics have gone yellow on top, there lush and green under neath. Anyone got any ideas on wot could cause this? They also seem to hav a considerably rreduced yield? peace

Il take some pics shortly when the lights come on. The nutes r bio-bizz bloom and top max bloom stimulator 4ml per litre of each at the mo and im gonna start flushin real soon, i didnt get this problem with the hogs i grew last grow, evry thing was done the same. Lights are very close, though I am using a heat shield which I highly recomend as u can get the light loads closer. peace

Hydro just kicks ass thats all. If you start a clone in Hydro and Soil at the same time the Hydro will double the size in the same time compared to soil. Which will in itself out yield soil due to the increased size. The yellowing is not a problem. A lot of plants yellow towards the end of flowering. It comes from a lack of Nitro which the plant takes from the leaves. The Hydro system must maintain the nutes longer than the soil does. Either is acceptable.

Its not unheard of. I usually go one week into flowering with my grow formulas before I switch to a bloom solution just for this reason. Especially for Sativa dominant strains. Maybe the soil is locking out some Nitro. Whats your TDS?

are the soil plants taller?, closer to the bulb?
maybe they are just a little too close. without pics it hard to say N deficiency will manifest itself on the bottom of the plant. what you are describing, with the few details you have provided, sounds like they are being bleached by the bulb being too close. but more details and pics would go a long way in making a proper diagnosis peace beans

Blatant, dont mean to sound stupid but wot is TDS?
mybeans420, the soil plants r shorter, i thought the same thing at first (to close to lights) but the hydro plant has its full colour so its gotta b some kind of nutrient lock up in the soil but wot? not many deficiencies start at the top of the plant, i was thinkin maybe sulphur, it must b one of the micro nutes, theres deffinately a reduced yield. If i can figure out how to post the pics il get em on today, i took some last night. peace
