GN C99 and Wallyduck C99 side by side
A couple months ago i posted some results of a Wallyduck C99 grow:
And i thought that seeing as there's so much discussion about the various different C99s i'd add another photo, this one is of a GN Collection feminised C99: It had vegged under 18/6 for 32 days, and had been flowering 12/12 for 46 days at the time of the photo, but will be left to day 50-55. Both plants were allowed to grow normally - no training/LST/topping/anything, and both grown under exactly the same environment so the photos compare well I've only grown out one Wallyduck C99 before and only 4 GN C99's (GN 03 i believe - ive had em nearly 2 years) so I'm not in a very good position to compare them, but I've had nothing but good results from both Wallyduck and GN versions of C99. The Wallyduck one yielded more than any of the GN ones did, although its pineapple flavour was a bit smoother whereas the GN pineapple flavour is a bit sharper. Likewise the high of the Wallyduck one seemed a bit more cruisier/relaxing than the GN one which had a bit more of a sativa upishness to it. These subtle differences actually compliment each other well in a similar way that sometimes we prefer sativa and othertimes we prefer an indy - now i've got two different C99s, depending on my mood at the time - if i was smoking while i was working on the computer I'd go the GN one, but if i was relaxing in front of the tv i'd go the Wallyduck oneAnyway thats just my personal experience, pretty useless as like I said i've only had 1 Wallyduck C99 and 4 GN C99's, and everybodys tastes are different Last edited by PhenoMenal; 05-15-2007 at 05:26 PM.. |

Hello all,
On those G N collection, any lean toward the indica side and have a catpiss smell? I noticed from some pics of others of C-99 that some look that way. Because mine do, and i would like to know if anyone else's has. Thanks, Painfull |

hmm no i wouldnt say any of the GN ones ive grown so far have had an indica side to them, and certainly not a catpiss smell lol. Actually i find that it either smells like pineapple, or smells like virtually nothing, as if the pineapple was its only scent attribute yet it was genetically switched off
The Wallyduck one actually leaned more to the indica side than any of the GN ones (only a little bit), but that was still pineapple |

Cheers Wal, yep that last plant is one of the GN Collection ones (feminised yep), but actually that isn't a pineapple one! :( it's one of the ones where the pineapple gene seems missing. It's a bit of a hit-and-miss with the GN Collection ones, seems about 50/50 as to whether you get a pineapple one or not, and actually I also got 1 hermie too. Still a bloody nice smoke though obviously, just missing that funky pineapple smell and taste. With your F5s it's still hit-and-miss as to whether i get a male or female as theyre not feminised, but at least it seems a lot easier to find pineapple ones!

Mine i won a bid on seedbay for C-99 feminized f-2's from the G N collection. And that is what i am growing. I am not sure what it really is.
