Buddha's Sister questions/advice sought

I have a 600w hps air-cooled. No co2. yet
Growing in soil. (peat, perlite, vermiculite)
Using Advanced Nutrients 2+program. Upped the feeding to Heavy (2000ppm) after a few grows.
Growing 4 plants at a time. Averaging about 2 oz a plant.
I feed for 8 weeks. Flush for 2.
Last couple of grows I vegged 4 weeks, last one, 8 weeks.
Seems like the 4 wks gave me less branches, but bigger buds. And just under 2 oz. 8wks gave me a lot more branching and a ton of tiny popcorn buds. But the main colas were nicer.
I never got any burn. I started with the light feeding schedule and kept going up since it never burned. But it seems like I read other problems with overfeeding like ph lockup or something? So I'm thinking of going back to the med heavy schedule...
Any advice for happier, bigger buds?
