So does Angel Dust and Bubble Dust males autoflower regardless of still being at 18/6? If that's the case, they might be finished giving out their pollen before you've even switched to 12/12, or at least that if you don't catch it in time the girls aren't producing any or enough calyxes to matter in the end result if you don't want pollen, right? Or, if you want seeds you have to switch to 12/12 after a few weeks of veg or plan on saving some pollen... right?

I LOVE THIS PLANT!!!!
Of all the strains I have grown so far(approx: 11), this is BY FAR my favorite. HUGE BUDS!! FAT and healthy!!! Loves to do the cola thing. Not to happy with topping(which is fine by me---I need room). One plant of AD produces just as much by weight as any plant I have(indica) that is LSD or topped. Easy grow. Happy plant. Meaning....just likes light, organic soil and ammendments, and doesn't need lots of attention. Smoke report: Take it slow. One hit is enough for this gal(I vape it-use for serious migraine relief). However, I imagine some folks will want 2-3 for serious pain relief. I have some friends with Lupus that LOVE this plant. I also hear through the grapevine that it totally knocks out nausea from chemo treatment and does give you back an appitite(sp). In summary.....my main recommendation for pain relief. May not work on everyone, but it is the first on my list to try. Thank you GrowDoc.

I wish Growdoc would chime in and tell us when and where more will be available. I cannot find AD beans anywhere.

I have been growing AD for a few months now, and have some just about ready. I also have two AD 1IX that I made with one of the auto-flowering males and a nice female. These IX's carry the same unique aroma as the mom. A sight variance in bud structure between the two (one getting fatter) but almost identical plants.
I only have a handful of them so, I may sort through these IX beans until I find a nice auto male, and make some seeds for SB. I had one cut that was stressed big time and narry a nanner. Very stable and consistent plant. The male autoflower thing is amazing. |

HDaddy, do the auto flowering ADs produce lower sub strength yields like true auto flowering strains or are they pretty much solid AD specimens that happen to bust into puberty on their own?

The males were very similar in growth and structure to the females. The males, or the ones I had anyway, clustered up stamen in about 20 days from pop, and one spit viable pollen about a week later. Spit pollen just like it had been in 12/12 for three weeks or so.
I dusted my AD female to make the IX, as well as 3 diff. SSH phenos. One of the males grew pistol early, but did not spit pollen until it was placed in 12/12. At that point it pollinated about a week into 12/12, and then hermied! A full on pistolate flower started growing amongst the stamen clusters. Quite a rare event to witness. I did not IX the male herm, but I did X it with the haze. I will take a look at them one of these days. The auto male thing, if bred into the right combination of vigor and potency, could prove one of the greatest things since femmed seeds. It is sooo nice to be able to discern plant sex so easy and early. BTW, the female never pre-flowered at all. Same with the IX's...no sex until 12/12 on any AD fem I have had yet. Quite an interesting plant. (I would love to know if this is brought into the gene pool by ruderalis, or if it is just an anomaly in a sat/ind hybridization?) |

I grew out some of my ADx seeds this spring, and stuck a couple of branches that I was cleaning off the plant, in a pot. Set the pot outside late this summer, and they are finished already! I have a cut in the garden as well and it looks like 3 wks off.
I cut these with about 10-20% amber trics. Oh well, nice little early harvest surprise from some trash. I only have about 20 or so AD ix's that I did, and 8 true AD-s1's that I may give to the kitties. Maybe could set it up with them to use only as freebies to those who request? I really want to see someone who wants AD real bad to get these. The parental crosses are identical to the f1 plants, IMO. A true ibl. Real nice buzz. |
