Blowfish x DC and KK's Strawberry Cough x DC
Hi everyone Going to try these two strains outside under the midwest sun. Here's a little info on these strains Blowfish................. (qouted from CBF) BLOWFISH (G13 / Blue Dot / Oregon Funk) F1 Named after the deadly Japanese delicatessen, this breeding project begun when we set out to improve taste and yield —two weak traits of the G-13— by using Oregon Funk as a pollen donor. The results were quite pleasing but the smoke test revealed that G-13's power had been downgraded somewhat. Then it was the turn of a very impressive Blue Dot hybrid stud, which qualified the G-13 with great taste and no harm to its potency, although this time yield was less than desired. Finally, we applied heavy selection to each of these two G-based lines, and crossed them giving rise to Blowfish, a winning combination of G-13's deadly punch and the quality and taste of the Funk and Dot lines. Blowfish exhibits great F1 vigor and disease resistance in a well-behaved plant that avoids the undesirable traits of "blue" genetics (difficult to grow, brittle, leafy, poor calyx to leaf ratio) while maintaining the flavor of the Funk and Dot ancestors and the brain-warping power of the G-13. A prolific flower producer even under poor conditions (it actually prefers low nutrient levels), this low-maintenance strain bears wonderfully dense buds, with a thick coating of milky crystals that will rival the best of the "white" strains in both crystal coverage and brain-thumping quality, with much better flavor and yield. We are proud to offer a hybrid carrying no White Widow, Northern Lights, Skunk or Blueberry in its composition. Parental selection focused on potency and yield, as taste and resin genes were already well fixed on the Funk and Dot lines. Outstanding ancestors infuse the plant with a high quality feel, evident in the glossy leaves, harmonious phenotype and the particularly frosted, heavy and aromatic buds. Blowfish tends to branch out while adding girth to flowering clusters, forming sizeable snowy colas for excellent yield. Despite the remarkable density of its bud structure, mold and mites have not been a problem. This fish likes plenty of water as well as appropriate root and growing space, but prefers low levels of nutrients to fully express its potential. Very well-suited for bubbler systems and SCROG styles. Blowfish retained the breathless intensity of G-13, with much better yield and a unique taste of berries and motor grease with fuel undertones that will appeal to pot-snobs. The experienced puffer will recognize a rotten animal scent lurking in the background of this Puffer, a sign of the abiding sativa influence that was a common denominator in parental stock selection. Its buds smoke very smooth and clean, with a great berry taste and a hashy feel that relates to its impressive crystal coverage. Known as Fugu in Japan, Blowfish flowers live up to its namesake as a lethal delicacy with a body-paralyzing yet heady cerebral effect that defies traditional "Indica" and "Sativa" classification. The plant's elegance stands in sharp contrast with the muscle and intensity of its buds, which stun the body but thrust the mind into a euphoric trippy experience with excellent visuals and duration. It does not seem to build tolerance with experienced smokers, maintaining its knock-out quality over repeated use. Kyle Kushman's Strawberry Cough I belive this is a clone only plant -Lineage (if known): Strawberry Fields x Haze -Vegative Growth: good grower, zig-zag node spacing, tops well, about medium feeder. -Stretch: about average stretch, a fairly stout sativa looking plant. -Flower Time: 55-65 days (most peeps go 65ish) -Yeild: good, above average. -Odor/Flavor: hazy, light strawberry aroma, stronger during flowering. a must for haze lovers looking for something fast. -Potency/High good potency, fairly good hitter, pretty well balanced for me, good daytime stuff, doesn't mess u up to bad, pretty clear. And the Deep Chunk is a stabilized afghan landrace and is a pure Indica. I started 4 seeds of each on 3-26 all seeds had popped in 24 hours the Blowfish had nice long tails already and were put in soil the Strawberry Coughs didn't have much of a tail so I put them back on top of the computer monitor so the tails would come out more before i put them into soil. Well overnight the paper towel had dreid out but I planted the 4 anyways well only 1 came up so I germed 3 more seeds about 2 weeks or so later than the first ones. Again all had cracked in 24 hours and this time I put them in soil right away and they all cam up so now I have four of each. They cramed under a four foot shop light with a few CFL's on the side right now. 12/12 was started a week ago and once they show there sex out the door they go Here are the smaller KKSK x DC's And this one is the older KKSK x DC A blowfish on 4-12 And a group shot of the Blowfish x DC 18 days later on 4-30 |

Yeah I know I could do a haphazard grow...but that's not my style. Believe me when I tell you, I have plenty to keep me busy already! Although....I do have a good spot I have been keeping for a special project. Maybe I will go out next weekend to dig a few holes. I really have been holding these KKSC x DC beans for longer than I wanted to. The Strawberry Cough was one of the ones I really really wanted to do. Suppoda be some potent meds! Ok I talked myself into it lol! I'll get them holes dug next weekend. Beans are going under the towel tonight!
Now I'm excited hehheh!

Now that's the spirit..... I ran DP StrawCough, and it was very heady... I loved it... doesn't knock your dick in the dirt, but it hits ya in the head, big time.... I can only assume KK's cut is more potent...... Good score there.....

yeah, I wish I coulda got BroMo the KKSC cut before I culled it, but a border stands in our way.. But I loaded him up with 3-4 packs worth in hopes he's find his perfect Strawberry Chunk..
The BlowChunk is another one I've been itchin' to see, she's got a very sweet and unique flavor and i am curious how it will carry thru.. it's also a faster plant and a lower yeilder, and extremely frosty.. should make for some very cool plants.. I have a feelin there's gonna be alot of cool plants showing up over the next several months, there's at least 1500 test beans or more out there, if not alot more.. I'm like mr. burns.... "exxxxcellent" |
